When did you get a +HPT?

Just wondering when others got a +HPT result. How many days after ovulation was it? I know its possible to get a positive result prior to your period being due and have heard people can get results 8 days after ovulation but wondered how regular that was / is?

With our DD I was 5 weeks when I got a +result.

I used to POAS a few days before AF was due. I think I used to start around DPO 10, but I stopped because I have had a couple of chemical pregnancies and this really disapointed me. Now I wait till DPO 14 at least, then I know that I'll get a nice strong positive

I was 3 weeks 5 days preg when i did first poas!!! did 6 in 3 days before getting a blood test

by the two dates i've been given, my earliest positive was at 7dpo - my strong positive wasn't til 13dpo though

With my first pg, I got a really, really faint line at around 8 dpo (I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks), then with my second, I didn't get a line until 16 dpo. Then with this one, I got a faint line at 14 dpo. I tested at 8 dpo and got nothing. I am a serial tester but am not as bad this time round

I have never yet got a BFP before my period was due - and trust me it wasn't for lack of testing.

With this pregnancy i did a test at 8 DPO and i got the faintest of faintest lines. I didnt even show my DH coz i dont even think he would have been able to see it - but it was there.....

10DPO for me, it was clear but not strong. Got a line as strong as the control at 12 DPO, with First Response.

Thanks for your replies. I'm now on 14DPO, on CD28 of an irregular 26 day cycle (previous cycle was 23 days) ....have had the faintest of faintest lines you could ever get I reckon this morning..........do you reckon it'll stick? I don't have my hopes up yet because I would've thought it would be pretty definite at 14DPO??? That said my boobs are ridiculously swollen (some swelling is normal but this is way bigger than normal)......what do you think? Too faint to give it any hope?

Should I go to the doc if I haven't got a strong positive early next week?

P.S. have used HPT brand Crystal Clear. CD11 and CD12 were both neg HPT.

you can always hold onto hope until the witch AF arrives. but being realistic about things like chemical pg's is a good way to protect yourself against a nasty shock if it happens!

i'm 10 weeks today - and i was probably 8 weeks before i started to relax (still in a bit of denial though!)

Thanks Briggsy's Girl. I think I'll be in more shock if this one sticks around or gives a real strong positive to be honest. I've got so used to seeing neg HPT.

Next question: how long does a molar or chemical pregnancy stick around? Not saying it is one, but have no idea about these things having only experienced one pregnancy in my life thus far.

Personally I HATE crystal clear, I tested the night before AF was due and got a false positive. I slept really badly that night from all the excitement and woke up to see AF rear her ugly face.

This pg, I tested at 10DPO with FMU and got BFN, 11DPO with night time wee and got a faint BFP, and a definate BFP with 12DPO FMU. EDIT: just wanted to add that I was testing with a lullaby conceptions 20 miu test.

Some people have had BFN's / faint positives at 14DPO and gone on to have healthy babies, especially if your cycle is irregular and you may have ovulated a day or so later than you thought.

ooh didn't see the edit about HPT brand - maybe leave it another day or two and try another brand - crystal clear don't have a great rep around BB from what i can gather

Lullaby conceptions are good (they're an online group), i've found first response to be good - and i think discover one step are another good one rep wise.

I got a faint positive at 13DPO but it resulted in an early miscarriage.

I got a strong positive at 12DPO & it resulted in Brock.

I hadn't tested before those days so I don't know if I would've got an early positive.

I never ever tested before the date of my AF was due (I had this thing where I didnt want to jinx myself) The day after AF was due I tested and got a very clear result though!

Oh boy, where do I start. The whole thing is doing my head in.

I went and got another two different branded tests:
tested yesterday at 14DPO with 1st Response and got a negative
tested today at 15DPO with clear blue and got another faint faint positive
Up to 13DPO I've had at least 3 faint faint positives on Crystal Clear - all different packets.

I am on CD30 now and have no sign of AF arriving imminently. Boobs are huge (still bigger than normal pre-period for me), feel sick and since yesterday my tongue is occasionally having really weird sensations / taste in my mouth, but comes and goes. My temp is still higher than pre-ovulation and I constantly feel hot and flustered.

I've decided I'm not buying any more HPT's for a couple of days because honestly I don't think whatever is going on is going to be a viable pregnancy. I've worked myself into a state freaking out that there is something wrong with me so just need to sit and wait for a bit. I'm sure the stressing is adding to AF not turning up or something??

SO, I've had a nice warm milo, a couple of tim tams and I'm off to bed early for some shut eye.

Zigzag this stuff can do your head in, so try to hang in there! Maybe if AF doesn't appear in the next few days, head in for a blood test. That way you will know for sure. Faint positives are so confusing! There are digital tests out there if you do decide to test again in a few days. Good luck!
