    Would It Show Anything Yet?

Okay, I ovulated 14 or 16 days ago - not 100% sure, had symptoms both days, but DTD for both of them anyway, just in case. So today is the end of my 2WW. I haven't had any definitive pregnancy symptoms, but I have had a few symptoms that are unusual for me - LOTS (and i do mean lots) of clear cm, boobs bigger but not sore, not sick in the mornings but definitely dizzy, and the biggest symptom - no AF even though I generally would've started about a week ago.

My question is - if I were to take HPT tomorrow morning, would it be too early to show anything anyway? I don't wanna take it if there's even a shadow of a doubt that it won't show up, I want to be sure that if I get a negative, its a negative, and if its a positive, I can start dancing

I can't handle another negative, but these 'symptoms' are screwing with my head

yeah I'd wait until 18 dpo, I've been preg and tested at 14 dpo and it's been bfn or wayyyy too faint for a diffinitive answer. Think of it this way, if you're utd, what's the worst that can happen? You get even more utd whilst you wait until 18 dpo If you're not utd af should show up during that time. Good luck, fingers crossed for a sticky BFP!!!

It's hard to say as some women experience symptoms early on (as early as conception) and some don't get any. As far as finding out of you are utd or not you can use a early HPT, I would recommend 1st response Insteam as it can pick up a very low level of HCG and you can test as early as 6 days before your period (5 days before date). As a rule of thumb I think they suggest that you should wait until atleast 10 days after predicted ovulation until you do a early HPT but some women have high levels of HCG and some have very low levels that can't be picked up. Either way if you are expecting your period and it hasnt arrived as yet I would test tomorrow morning. You can get a 3 pack of 1st response HPT's from woolies for about $16.00 so it's pretty cheap! GL and I hope you get the result you are looking for!! Xx

I got my positive at 11dpo. It was a sensitive test... but was an unexpected positive that early! LOL. I have heard of people not getting positive HPT's until a few weeks in, but majority of cases can test the day after AF is due and get a real result. If you get a BFN and AF still stays away, you could always go for a blood test.. that would give you a genuine result.

    *fingers crossed* for you!!

Nikkie - 7 weeks!! I'll be in the nuthouse by then!

PZ - LOL, true story I'm just being impatient I guess, every day it gets clearer in my mind that I am, but I keep telling myself off for having hope, because I know where that'll lead if its a neg. 4 years kinda dampens the spirit!

Thanks everyone else for your replies

I think I'll probably wait another week, and if I still haven't got AF, I'll do a super sensitive test.

for you hun. I got a BFP the day after AF was due. I was probably 15 dpo (not that I am exactly sure of O date). I wanted to wait the extra day to be sure AF was definitely not coming and I knew my cycle was predictable.

4 years shiiit, I can imagine hun FWIW I've also had a bfp at 10 dpo, so i think it's just a really random thing with each pregnancy. I'll be stalking you now until we find out you're utd

I had a clear BFP at 8dpo with this pg (I was certain of when I O'd and was confirmed by 2 x US!), but I agree with PZ, I think it's different for every woman and every pg. I also used First Response.

If you couldn't bear another BFN and you are very patient, wait a couple more days to be sure the result is accurate.

I have everything crossed for you Berenice!!
