Big hugs hun  No Major should EVER call you at home ;) It can never be a good thing!! Good to hear he is *ok* even if he is sore and not likely to feel much better for a few days. Here if you need to chat
Off to bed with the girl. Work tomorrow and then an appointment with Dad on Monday. Man - I could do with a few days of R&R. And a toddler who doesn't hit me, ignore me and do completely the opposite to what I ask :wall: This to shall pass ..............
On a positive - formal results came back lovely and we have the anomaly scan on Thursday :D
-
Oh Spring hun  I can totally understand. Everytime Ry went away esp if there was jumping involved (which was alot back in the pre-kids days) I would worrying myself sick the entire time everytime the phone rang thinking it would be some higher up telling me he broke his back or neck or best case scenario a limb or pelvis. Its horrid. Im so sorry you got that phone call, I wish I was still up there to give you a hand. Poor Dh too, Im sure its the worse pain.
Worse now, he is at a Unit where guys get injured or killed, not regularly but its a good chance on exercise and deployment, so now I get to worry ten-fold. Army life sucks sometimes.
 again Spring!
-
Spring you poor thing love, so glad DH will be ok though
-
I got to speak to him just before. He is still in hossy because he started vomiting ( concussion I think) but should be out today and on his way back to the local army hossy. He sounds pretty shook up, I think it is only just sinking in not to mention he is in a lot of pain. Wish he was home already.
-
Spring - I'm so glad your DH is OK, that must have been quite a scare. I admire you girls for being brave enough to let your men go out and do the jobs they do.
Mako - I'm here if you need to talk, you know where to find me
Not much happening here. Escaped to the movies last night to see Valentine's Day which I really enjoyed. Went shopping today for new shoes and a bra for the gym - what a saga when you have both huge feet and bb's
-
Oh Spring... massive hugs.. how scary. I hope all is ok with DH, must of been a massive shock for him (and for you). Makes you realise how lucky you are and certainly makes me put things into perspective.
Sorry don't have time for personals but I hope everyone is ok. Not feeling the best over here... we've got our wonderful friends over, which is amazing but I'm finding myself really angry with DH.. won't go into it now.. plus our friends little girl is just so well behaved and happy all the time and DS has been a little pain in the bum.. it's frustrating (because they're also pg) and I hate feeling that way. I feel like I'm always yelling at DS and getting angry with him. And now DH is also frustrating me.. why do I feel like this. So annoying and I need to snap out of it and realise just how lucky I am.. things could be much worse and I really want to put everything into perspective. Sorry, just helps to get it all out.

Spring - I hope DH has a fast recovery,
AFM - just a little update, we had our 20 week scan on Friday and all is well, gender still sealed in an envelope...at this stage.
Hope you are all well.

Oh Spring I am so sorry! :comfort: Bloody Nora it doesn't rain it pours. What an awful awful shock you would have had getting that call. (my Dad was in the Police Force so I get it...)
I hope he recovers well & he gets back tomorrow to local ground. Big cuddles...
Kelly - you've had a lot to deal with my love - be gentle with yourself & know that this too shall pass... I hope you can enjoy your friends...
Everyone else - flying trip... I had no time without 24/7 kids this week. DD7 didn't want to go to FOTY"s & had 2 other little girl friends over for her very first sleepover fun last night! We made pizzas, ate popcorn and drumsticks and hot chocolate... Watched the "Ice Princess", created a fairy ring and all in all they played hard! I had allocated 10am as pick up time... Then Lucy & I went "down the coast" to see a movie (but there was none appropriate) so we did what girls do & shopped... She got some "skinny jeans" (the tights that look like jeans?) & a jumper with a low slung belt... She got her nails done (don't even go there - but they did look gorgeous!!!), we ate sushi & Mama even picked up a few bargains...
So, I'm tired! Yesterday before the sleepover we were at a friends little boys 7th birthday party... It was a Star Wars party - OMG there was Yoda Soda, a green yoda cake & pin the light saber on Yoda!!!!
So, a big weekend & a tired Mama. BB tomorrow...
-
Jo Its wonderful to hear that your scan went beautifully. I'm so happy for you.
Spring OMG I'm sorry you had to receive that scary phone call. How scary for you. I hope your DH has a speedy recovery. Back injuries are very very painful and I hope he's back closer to home where he can get as much rest as he needs to
Michelle What a clever boy you have on your hands by taking himself off to the toilet  Its always the way though isn't it. They always behave for Dad or whoever else takes over when us mums have to go to work or needs a break
I hope your Dad's appointment goes well today too.
Willow How's your Nan doing babe? I've been thinking of you and her lots and hope she's doing as well as she possibly can be
Deb OMG what a twit. I can't believe FOTY let your DD go to a rave let alone dropped her off there :shakehead: Like the others have said she sounds like a sensible young lady and I'm sure it won't be too long before she realises a 19 year old just isn't for her ;)
Sounds like you and your DD had a lovely but busy weekend.
Sequoia WOOHOO on a great scan too. I have to be honest though..I don't know how you still have a sealed envelope lol. I'd be sneaking a peak if it was me :shhh:
Freya All the best for Uni today. I hope all your boys are on the mend very soon.
Hi to everyone else. I know I've missed a heap of you but Sage is calling out for me to get him up..Gotta love a kid who doesn't know how to climb out of his cot at 2 years and almost 4months
I'm a teeny tiny bit excited today......We are going to ACDC tonight and can't wait although I'm not as game a Jayne is when she goes to concerts....we're seated...Not in the mosh pit hahahaha.
-
OMG... sorry very selfish post warning....
I'm so incredibly excited.... DS just did his very first wee on the toilet!!! We've been talking about it for AGES and its been driving me nuts that he's not at all interested and just not ready... but our friends that are over have a little girl younger than DS and she's TT, so I think a couple of days of watching her go to the toilet has worked wonders. So this morning when his nappy felt dry I asked him if he needed to do a wee and if he wanted to try and do it on the potty or toilet (like I do every day), then I said or have you already done it in your nappy and he said “no.. I want to do it on the toilet”… so we went in, I sat him down… and low and behold.. he started weeing!!!! It was incredible. Then when he finished and hopped off, he asked for a chocolate… at 6.30am!!! I had to give him one though!!! So amazing… I’m still so happy and hope it's going to be an easy process from here... we'll see. I've still put nappy pants on him this morning because we have a busy day out with our friends but we'll see how we go. Then my Mum is over next week, so she can help me really get things happening!!! I really didn't think I'd see the day that this happened - LOL.

Spring, OMG how frightening. You poor things  I hope DH is home to you ASAP, and on the mend very quickly.
Yay Kelly!!!!!!!!! I know how exciting that is for you :D. And don't worry about the other stuff you posted about yesterday, L is a totally normal 2 year old BOY, don't forget it hun ;).
Deb, that weekend sounds soooo lovely! What a gorgeous sounding sleepover for Lucy and her friends :D
Mako, I hope you have a fantastic night!!!! LOL at Sage calling out to you, I wouldn't have a clue what that's like, since DS hasn't slept in a cot for at least 18 months
Michelle, so thrilled for you!!!!!!!!!! I have been quietly waiting for your official results, so pleased you have to final all clear :D
Okay, I started this an hour ago, but got distracted by DS, so I'd better wind it up now. Have to get ready for our big D day! My FIL is picking us up in a bit over an hour to take me into the hospital to meet DH. Am really keen for our scan at midday, I have everything crossed we get good news. I really feel like bub must have grown, my tummy has popped a bit, and I've been gaining weight. So here's hoping for a gold star, and some more pg time!!! I am secretly so nervous, like totally freaking out, that bub will have to come out, and they'll be slicing me open tomorrow :o. Please send me and our baby lots of good vibes girls.
xoxo

Thanks for all the posts ladies
DH got home last night and is a little worse for wear. He can barely walk but said he feels so much better than after it just happened. I'm a little worried about the swelling in his ankles but we are back to the Dr tomorrow so can ask then. He is still asleep now so hopefully he can catch up on some rest. He keeps saying how lucky he is, it's given him a real fright.
Mako: enjoy ACDC babe.
Kelly: Whoo hoo for DS. I bet he TT really quickly.
Janine: I'll be thinking of you today hun. I hope you have a big chubby bubby in there growing nicely.
BBL to catch up on more personals

Spring - Wishing DH a speedy recovery! How frightening for you
Janie - Heaps and heaps of GL for today!
Kelly - WTG DS  My DD1 was the same, TTed out of the blue but once she was going she never looked back.
Mako - hun, hope you are doing OK. Enjoy Acca Dacca, my DH would be soooo jealous of you!
Deb - So sorry to hear your ex is being such a moron  But sounds like a lovely weekend you just had, that is great :)
Jo and Sequoia - Yay girls, so pleased to hear about your scans
Bun - I'm no expert but I believe the biggest problem with bottles is when they suck on them for half the night when they are filled with milk, or even worse juice :o I would think one drink of milk right before bed wouldn't be too bad, any chance you can quickly brush her teeth after it?
Hi everyone else, hope you are all well :)
AFU, have had a shocking weekend. DD2 is sick again, continuing on from the fever last week she now has bronchiolitis poor little munchkin. We had no sleep at all on Sat night - last night was a bit better thank goodness - and she was super clingy yesterday, I could literally not put her down. But this morning she woke up with a wheeze and an awful barking cough so we dropped in to the GP's this morning to see if anyone could see her, they saw us straight away as she sounds pretty bad. Unfortunately there is nothing they can do for her as it is viral, so just have to wait out the next few days until hopefully she is better. I've got a mild dose of it too now, so feeling a bit average but nowhere near as bad as she is. Anyway, had best dash before she wakes up - poor little thing is exhausted today as well but I just wanted to try to do some quick persies. Hope you all have a nice day!
-
Scan was pretty good! Still in the same boat i think. Growth is almost consistent, very close, we're on the 8th centile. Head is looking good, abdo and femur are still waaay small. Approx 1450g. Sd ratio is the same, as is fluid levels. Off to ctg now, and then max, will bbl!
-
Janie - great to hear it was a good scan, but does this mean for delivery?? OMG please come back and tell!!
Big cheerio to everyone else, BBL, im in the middle of organising my tupperware cupboard

Quick question girls, bub has been very quiet last night and today..still having movement but not as many or as strong in the previous days. Any thoughts??
-
Lisa - Bub could be having a sleepy day. Have you counted the movements? I think 10 good movements per day is a good indication. Does bub move more when you are standing or resting? I used to have to lie down to get Eva to move. Try a really cold drink then lay down. If you are really worried give your ob a call.
-
Lisa it's great you still have some movement. It can be normal to have a decrease in movements as the baby gets bigger & has less room for full body movements. However, any change is important to recognise and note. It is known that maternal concern is one of the biggest indicators of an issue... Though remember, we often worry needlessly too.
I am very cautious with this & it would be my advice to get checked out. Pop up to the hospital or your obs & get an assessment. This will put your mind at ease.
Big hugs - I know how scary this can be - you are doing the right thing by asking questions & seeking out advice.
-
Lisa - my Ob always told me to get checked out for any noticeable reduction in baby's movements. He said that the benchmark was 10 in 24 hours but if I noticed that my baby's usual pattern suddenly changed or if bub went very quiet to always, always call him.
Not trying to freak you out but this is what I always did. I would just worry too much otherwise.
Have you tried the usual tricks - lying down and drinking a really cold drink??
Deb - posted at the same time - dito!
-
Thanks ladies - movements are at least 10 per day, and yes I can feel bub move more when im resting, but in hindsight ive been on my feet doing stuff all day so probably there have been more movements than ive actually noticed. Will keep an eye on it over th next 24 hours and i have an OB appt on wed anyways.
I love you girls, always here when I need you
-
Just checking in on Janie... I saw your FB status update... what's going on????
Hope everyone else is well. Sorry no time for anything else.. am exhausted from a very busy day.. will try and catch up over the next couple of days.

Hi ladies :). Posting from my hossy bed, strapped to the ctg. Been an eventful day! Started having mild ctx while being monitored this arvo, bub's hb dropped right down during some of them. Has been deemed that it's too risky to continue on, they're worried that baby isn't doing well, for whatever reason. Have been admitted, and had my first steroids earlier, will have more tomorrow. At this stage, unless something happens earlier, we will be having cs on wed arvo. Would love to post more, but it's a pita on my phone, so i'll come back later or tomorrow. Please don't say anything on fb my friends lol! Love to all xoxo
-
Wow! Hope all goes well, Janie.

OMGosh Janie; all the best for wednesday, youve been a trooper to have come so far sanity intact! I am more than a little excited to find out if bub is blue or pink but wish it would have been a bit longer a wait for all concerned. Still 34wks is a great effort.
-
Big cuddles you're in the right place for what you need now my love... :hug:You have done so so well keeping this baby inside - try and relax... You have no idea how much I wish I could come & sit with you... I feel a bit teary actually... My heart is feeling for you - but I know this baby is going to be fine with a Mama who is incredibly strong, well informed & loving. If ever a premmie was born to the right Mama it's this one! Giving your hand a squeeze right now... Big love darling xxxx
-
Big hugs gorgeous. On the end of the phone if you need anything
Tired here and working lots in a short time due to child care issues. Scan on Thursday and away for the weekend but I will pop in and out to check on Janie.

Wow Janine, that is such exciting news. You've done such an amazing job keeping bub tucked in until 34wks. I'm glad they are keeping you in until your c sect, you are in safe hands. Only two more sleeps until you get to meet bub. My money is on blue. Sending you a cuddle
-
Huge thanks ladies . And deb, you're a mind reader, i was going to ask you to post in my iugr thread, thank you so much! Spring, i too am so glad to be here. I feel a bit nervous for my baby tonight. Mum brought ds in which was wonderful, so great to see him, my poor little boy :(. So much going through our minds. I vaccillate wildly between being really excited, really scared, a bit ****ed off, and just a bit nervous. No doubt will be back in tomorrow to vent some more! Nighty night xoxo
-
Janie, you will be in my thoughts. CS are not that bad so try not to worry about that aspect.
-
Got my fingers crossed for you Janie!
-
Janie I agree with Laney about the C/S. I had one with Sage and you know what??? I absolutely loved it. I'm not too sure why but I'm thinking it was because he was tiny due to IUGR caused by my placenta and I knew once he was out he'd be in very very safe hands. I also wasn't in any pain whatsoever once the spinal wore off. The nurses kinda forced me to take 1 panadol each day for a couple of days after it lol. I know everyone is different but just wanted to share a little bit of my experience with you. If you want to know more I'm more than happy to tell you
I know its not your ideal birth choice but hunny as you know the welfare of your baby is the most important thing at the moment. I hope that doesn't sound harsh or anything cos thats not what I'm wanting to sound like.
Anyway I hope you're resting up and know that you and your bubba are in my thoughts
Lisa How are you doing? Have the movements increased? Thinking of you too
Megsmum I'm sorry to hear you and DD2 aren't well. I hope you both recover very soon
ACDC last night was fantastic although the crowd weren't as good..GRRR. I was under the impression that these events are non smoking....well how wrong I was cos about 15 people in the row infront and behind us smoked all night long :wall: How inconsiderate and that was even after some security came and chatted them all. Anyway apart from that it was a great night. We didn't get home til after 2am and I've only had a few hours sleep. I'd better get going..have a heap of things to do this morning while I'm child free :)
-
OMG Janie - I thought something must of been happening!!! So exciting but I understand how nervous and worried you are. We're all thinking of you and can't wait to hear the news. Take care and will await some more news soon.
Kel xxx
-
Janie - good luck hon, a scary and exciting time, Deb's right - you are where you both need to be now, will be thinking of you xoxo
Spring - sorry about your DH, as you say things could have been worse, glad he is safe home with you now, getting some tlc. Your post made me feel sick, as someone who has had a nightmare phonecall myself, it really brings up those horrible memories (sorry not wanting you to feel bad) - I just understand how you would have felt/reacted. Hope things are going okay with your "3" babies ;)
AFM, really not feeling good, so won't go on about it :wall: hope things pick up soon tho.
Lee xo

Janie - Ooooooh my! You and bub are in my prayers. I am excited that you will be meeting your beautiful babe tomorrow but I am nervous for you too  You are in the best place and all will be fine. I look forward to reading your BA - my money is on BLUE!! (so therefore you will have a girl...bwwahahaha!)
Mako - Glad you enjoyed the concert! Blah about the smokers though, pet hate of mine especially since DH quit.
Megs - I hope DD2 is better soon. Just when you wanted more sleep huh?! Poor things.
Spring - How is DH going?
Lisa - I hope that bub of yours is bouncing around in there reassuring mummy.
Lee - We're here if you want to talk about it??
Things going well here. DS1 was nearly sold to the highest bidder yesterday so let's hope today is better! LOL. Still doing well with the TTing and we're actually getting a decent nights sleep most night, although Sunday night was a shocker - it was disgustingly hot so I'm not surprised D didn't sleep well, DH and I didn't either. I am officially OVER summer at this point and longing for cold winter days snuggled up in jeans and cardies! LOL.
-
Janie - your in safe hand sweety, and you have done such a wonderful job!! C/S at FPH was good for me, they took good care of me and miss a. I hope bubby is nice and healthy even if he is a bit small.. he?? OMG thats a sign, me thinks its blue!!
Me - movements still slow but im getting noticeable movement at least once per hour. I feel soooo tired today all i want to do is sleep..
Good luck for Thurs Michelle..
Gotta fly, BBL to check on everyone
