Just watched the movie Julie & Julia, was funny. I should go crawl into bed now while Stell is still asleep and hope he gives me a few hours at a time tonight.
Well... AF arrived with a vengence this morning... as I knew it would. I'm a little surprised at how upset I've been and hope that I can turn it around pretty quickly. DH doesn't really get it and I can't help but obsess over next month and the fact that it looks like he'll be away right when I ovulate. Awesome. I'll keep praying though.. my cycle isn't very reliable and I have NO idea when I do O. Falling pg hasn't been our problem in the past though, so DH doesn't understand why I'm obsessing over it. Anyway what will be will be... I just want the next month to be over quickly.. thankfully we will have visitors over this time next week and then my Mum is here on 1 March... so hopefully that will keep us busy.
Sorry again for the selfish post, I just feel like absolutely crap this morning.. and to add to that I'm really dizzy for some reason.. probably due to AF.

DH is on a health kick, he is doing kick boxing training 3 nights a week. I am proud of him for getting fit and he has dropped about 15kg already but it's hard on me being here on my own with the kids so much.
Things are terrible here atm. DH and I are at each other's throats because we are just so tired. He told me this morning he wants me to take D to sleep school :cry: I don't want to go back there. I just want to fix this on my own and I don't know how to :cry: I can't understand why things have gotten so bad, he was such a great sleeper.
Kelly - Sorry, I missed your post before. I'm so sorry you're feeling this way, I truly remember what it's like :hug: I am hoping next month will bring some wonderful news :hug:

Willow and Freya Don't worry about Monday. Its most likely going to be too hard anyway. I thought about it more last night and by the time I actually get the test done who knows what time it'll be.
I explained as much as I could to DH last night about how everything went and he didn't say anything. I just don't get it :wall: Anyway he knows that I need to have lots of tests done to try and work out what caused my DVT when I was 16 and he's looking into the issues I had when I had DS and why he was early and why the placenta didn't work as well as it should have etc etc. He also wants me to take Metformin after my B.T on Monday but he's prescribed more than what my specialist up here has so I'll see how I handle it. He said to take 1 a day for a week and then 2 a day the following week and then try and take 3 a day after that. We'll see how it all goes. I only had to take 1 a day last time but anyway.

Mako, we found out about Dad's cancer late last year. Then he had 2 lots of surgery fairly quicky to get rid of it - they both went well in terms of getting it all but he had complications - pneumonia and the blood clot. And now he's on the home stretch with the radiotherapy this is just another one. Its so frustrating! We just want him to get through it and put in behind him KWIM? Willow, they live in Lake Macquarie - so too far away to travel down every day unfortunately :( They are staying in a centre for cancer patients near the hospital and coming home on weekends, but not this one of course.

Willow - :hug: sweetie, I remember the sleep deprivation leading to arguments between DH and I when DD was younger and hardly slept at all. It is so hard to deal with, especially if you have different ideas about how to tackle it. DH and I are still the same regarding DD's sleep! Wow on DH's weight loss, that's a fantastic effort, but it must be hard to be on your own so often. My DH does martial arts training, often in the evenings, and although I think it's great that he does it, I also find it really hard sometimes.
kelly - sorry about AF hun, I hope it gets better soon.

I am a bit of a sad panda today. I am not really sure why, I think maybe it is just that it has all been too much for me lately. A shocking birth, bad recovery, a month of house guests who at times are helpful and at other times really aren't, a tantruming toddler, and today is my birthday although it doesn't feel like it! We were woken by DD who Mum and Dad let into our room first thing (they were getting her up this morning) but she came in right when we had just gotten DS to sleep and were drifting off ourselves, plus DS had been up and down since 4am, and the day hasn't really improved since then. DD is really pushing the boundaries atm - we have had a month of rellies spoiling her and she has become a nightmare if she doesn't get her own way. Mum and Dad leave tomorrow and we have no more guests after that. In a way I am glad to be on my own at last and at the same time I am terrified of how difficult it may be cope with both kids with no help! Plus I am sure I will have a nightmare few days with DD while I get her back into routine and used to the way I run things - no getting her own way all the time, and no constant attention either. It could be interesting... Anyway, must go as Mum and I are going shopping for my birthday pressie. Hopefully it will cheer me up some!
Bun: :happybirthday: gorgeous. Sorry to hear you're having a tough day. Try not to stress too much about DD. O has been testing the boundaries also. Having a new sibling is such an change for them that it will take a while to adjust. Having so many house guest is lovely but also exhausting. I'm sure one their gone things will settle.

Well we are well. DS doesn't seem to be stretching his nightime feeds yet which I know us to be expected. Just hoping he beats his brothers record of not sleeping through until 12 mths. I've been really engorged of late, ended up expressing off 100mls yesterday just for comfort. I'm hoping to loose some more kgs this week but I don't think it rill be much. Off for a walk to the park this arvo to get out snd get some exercise then off to the beach fit a wslk in the morning. But what I'd give for fish and chips for dinner (lol )

Good on DH for loosing 15kgs. That is a fantastic effort. My DH is playing basketball twice a week now and I understand how tough it can be on us mums doing it solo at night when they are out doing their thing. It must be harder with 3 kids so you have my sympathy.
As for Dr S he didn't mention a biopsy for the NK Cells. I just have to have the bloods done.

Hi girls - knackered here. It has been a big week with results, parents, appointments and Dad having more surgery on Friday. I have just finished day 2 of 3 shifts and they have been busy ones.

Hello to everyone. Too tired to think :lol:
Ugh, I spent half the night pacing the floor with a sick baby who was I think hallucinating because of a 39.9 fever. I am so tired I cant see straight. Right now Im trying not to meltdown while he cries in his cot because Im at my wits end. Ry has taken the other two to swimming lessons so I have an hour of peace from them. Atleast I got an hour sleep in I guess which is better than nothing. God I hope Stellan sleeps better tonight I do not like the idea of getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to do my trek into the city for Uni orientation after being up half the night. Ry is home tomorrow watching the boys because Stell has to go back to the GP to get a clearance letter for daycare (I hope *sigh*) so atleast theyll be happy while Im gone all day.
Ok enough of my whining. Next post will be more positive I promise. I think Stellan has stopped fighting sleep so Im going to shower and hopefully feel better.

HI Ladies, am thinking of you all - I have Alan home, so my days are a LOT brighter at the moment. Focussing on the next time he is home is to take us back to China & Hong Kong with him. I'll have to post more when I get a chance! I have been busy baking all morning as Jessica goes to full-days at school from tomorrow & I like to cook nice muffins, etc... to place in her lunch box.
Oh & I have got Alan the bomb of a Valentines present. I got him a new wedding band as he lost his original one in either Beijing or Singapore airport. I can't wait for him to return from diving so I can give it to him! I was VERY surprised to wake up to red roses this morning! Very surprised! Considering I didn't mention the Valentines Day or the fact that I got him anything.

Freya - Blergh...that doesn't sound like a very fun night. Poor little man :( I hope tonight is better and you get some sleep ahead of your big day!
Mako - LOL, no need to hide hun! A day stay would be a waste of time, he sleeps really well during the day, always has. The only issues we are having are at night. To get DH to back off a bit I actually called them yesterday arvo to talk about what was going on. The nurse I spoke to said she thinks he is waking genuinely hungry and suggested we get him going on solids. We started in the last week or so but have been a bit fickle with it. She said she wouldn't expect him to sleep through until he was established on solids and it was normal for him to be waking even up to 3 times for feeds (which he has been doing, some nights 4 or 5 times :wall:). She also suggested that because he does self settle it might be worth trying to move him to his own room and he might be a bit more settled at night in his own space. So we are trying both of those things this week in the hope that it improves (I will be the one awake crying if he ends up in his own room :(). I told her how worried I was about going down the same path we did with L and she told me that she really doubted that would be the case considering D sleeps so well during the day and has self settled from a very early age etc. I hope she's right!
We have already had a small victory the last two nights - I have been making sure he is awake by 5pm in the evening and then stretching him out a bit till 7.30pm bedtime and so far (:crossfingers:) he has gone down without a fuss the last two nights. Previously it would take me up to an hour (our worst night was 2 hours) to settle him off. Not much improvement in the night waking but we'll work on that...Feeling a bit better about the whole situation today.
DH and I had a really nasty scare this afternoon. We'd just gotten home and had brought the kids inside and DH was going straight back out again. He said goodbye and jumped in the car, I looked around and couldn't see L so ran out the door...just as DH reversed the car with L behind it...oh my goodness I screamed at the top of my lungs for him to stop and thankfully he heard me in time. The car actually bumped him but didn't knock him over thankfully.
I cannot stop running through my mind what could have happened...it was so, so close :crying: It took me 2 hours to stop shaking and DH was pretty shaken up too. So, so, thankful that someone was watching over my little guy :pray:
Willow - OMG!!!! :hug: I am so glad that L is ok, I'd still be shaking. Last week Loren took off out our side gate and down the drive way onto the road. I was on the other side of the yard holding Eva. I tell ya I nearly lost my lunch I was panicking that much. I am glad D is sleeping better. Eva still has 3 feeds per night some nights. I hope solids make a difference.
Jayne - Glad to hear you are feeling better. I bet Alan loves his VD pressie.

BTW - My DH out did himself this year. He got me a pandora bracelet. I feel a bit funny about it because a month or so ago I had a melt down that he hadn't given me any jewelery since we were married. Of course I felt like a brat after my meltdown and now I hope he hasn't given this to out of guilt..:wall: I didn't get him anything:redface: Although I made him his fav biscuits..does that count???
Bek - Ooooh my goodness I am a bit of a Pandora addict! :lol: Yesterday I got one of the leather bracelets which I am loving stupid! I originally got one for xmas from DH but didn't really get the whole idea of them (you're only supposed to wear a few charms on these bracelets not like the silver ones, the lady told me yesterday absolute max 7 charms) so ended up taking it back. Then I saw them a bit more and decided I wanted one again so went and got it yesterday (still had the original store credit from xmas) and just have 3 charms on it that DH brought me for xmas. This will be more of an every day thing. My silver bracelet I got two christmases ago is almost full, saving the space that's left for a few gold bits and pieces ;)
Don't feel bad about it, just enjoy it! I think he probably just wanted to do something nice for you :)
I actually gave a nice VD gift to myself. Went and had my wedding rings polished and my engagement ring which is white gold rhodium plated and ooh la la, they are so sparkly and shiny they look brand new!
OMG Willow how scary for you and DH :hug: Kids are so freaking quick when they want to be hey.I'm so pleased L is ok.
Good on D for making an improvement the past couple of nights. I'm sure he'll get used to the idea again. How's he going with his solids? Does he like them? I know DS struggled with some things but he was fine if it contained mushed up corn and sweet potato.
Bek I wouldn't feel too bad about your DH buying you a gift for Valentines Day. Just accept it as him saying he loves you and you deserve it ;) How are you doing? How are the girls?

Hi to everyone else :hello:. Just plodding along here. DS has gone off with my mum today, which is a lovely break, although I am missing him. I think it's dawning on me that it won't be long before I don't have as much time to devote to him so I'm trying to make the most of it. I have lots to do today though, just little bits and pieces to finish getting organised (most of which can be done from the couch ;)). In fact, for someone who is meant to be doing nothing, I'm feeling like there is a long list to be completed! That's just because I'm a control freak though LOL. I thought I was going into labour last night :o so I was up again at midnight trying to finish packing bags, and tidying up the lounge room hahaha. I didn't tell DH what had woken me, because I wanted him to get some sleep. But he knew I was up, and was stressed about it, and in the end he got up and kind of ordered me back to bed. By then everything had died down, so I did go back to bed, although it took ages to get back to sleep.
Just called Max to find out when he wants me to have my next CTG, after some confusion with the midwife yesterday. He does want me to go in on Wednesday, but in the morning so I can see him afterwards, which is good. I said to his receptionist that I was happy with that so I could chat to him about this prelabour stuff I've been having. She got a bit nervous and said I could go in today, but I assured her that I know I'm not in labour :lol:. TBH, I really want to spend today on the couch, watching the Gilmore Girls and eating! So she'll get him to ring me later today. I think everyone else is much more nervous than I am ATM! I'm pretty sure I'll know when I'm in labour, although everyone I know who is a midwife etc keeps telling me not to hang around when it starts because I might just sneeze this baby out! I wish!

ETA I'm up for any prelabour stories, for those who have them! Never had any with DS, so have no idea really LOL. Also, has anyone else reaaaaalllly struggled to gain weight during pg? I seriously cannot put on weight (which is ridiculous, if I ate like this when NOT pg I would be stacking it on). Obviously I lost a few kilos in the first 20 weeks, and was slooowwwly gaining, only to start losing again WFT? I am now about 500g heavier than when I first fell pg........go figure! And don't tell me I'm lucky, because I know that once this bub is out I will stack it on again LOL!

DS was running around in the driveway and he's really good.. never goes near the road.. as we live on a busy road.. but he was playing with a ball and it rolled out onto the road.. so of course, he started chasing after it until DH screamed at him... thankfully we were watching him closely and thankfully he stopped... it was soooooo scary!
Spring - thanks for asking about me.. I'm doing ok.. stilll feel really flat and DH is away again which sucks.

AFM - Have lots of little annoying things going on.. I think I broke my little toe on the weekend, which KILLS, damn dishwasher broke and has been taken away to get fixed, our alarm that we NEVER use becuase we were never given the code decided to play up and the blue light out the front of the house has been flashing for 4 days now.. and noone seems to care. It's just annoying things... but DH is away again and i hate the blue light flashing.. makes it look like we're not home.. anyway will keep hounding the agent.. I HATE RENTING!! Must go but will bbl.

Did it the night before D's christening (so last weekend) and had to take some panadeine to go to sleep that night.Thankfully they are just seriously bruised. Still sore though which will be interesting when I attempt my first gym session on Wednesday :o

Sorry I haven't replied to your FB message yet. Just haven't had the time to sit and type for any longer than a couple of minutes the past few days. As for me well I nearly cried today. DR S told me to call the pathology place to make an appointment for this test so I rang last Friday and the lady I spoke to just told me I had to come in between Monday and Thursday before 11am.So I arrived at 10:20 this morning to be told I need to make an appointment on a Tuesday or Thursday only. I explained that I called and said what I was told by the lady on Friday. She rang someone else who I had to talk to and re explain everything and I added it had taken me 2.5 hours to drive there today and I wasn't going home until they'd taken my blood as I'd followed all instructions that I was given. Well the lady on the phone was so rude and abrupt but finally gave the go ahead for me to have the test done but told me next time they would make me come back on a day that they tell me. I was so embarassed and angry that some stupid woman on the phone stuffed up and gave me the wrong information and then was told off by someone else in a packed waiting room :redface:
I just hope I never ever have to step foot in that place ever again. Luckily DS was very well behaved and travelled soooo well.

Well D is doing OK in his own room. Is doing fine during the day and last night we had a 5 hour stretch of sleep - haven't had that for about 6 weeks. BUT I was up between 1am and 2am settling :wall: This too shall pass...right?!
Meet the Teacher night was interesting...the stuff these kids do in kindy makes the mind boggle!
Willow You are doing a fantastic job with D and his sleep. That is a great effort last night and yes the hour settling will pass. It just takes a little bit of time and him getting used to what has to happen ;)
So what has V been up to at school? Is her teacher nice? Is it the one you went to school with? Sorry way too many ?'s for you lol.
Oh and not too sure about the best wife lol. He's just lucky I really like eating fish :lol:
Thats what I thought about the blood test too but do understand its not JUST a simple test kwim. Just annoyed the cr*p outta me at the time. I wouldn't have minded too much if it was only a 5 min drive away but when its much further than that thats what annoyed me. Anyway I just hope it all comes back ok.

Willow - how scary about DS, we had a similar incident but i thought DD was behind the car when in fact she was inside, but still it took about 5 years off my life. Glad all is well though and :clap: on joining the gym. I cant wait to get back there after bubs.
Oh Mako - I would have been outraged! Thank goodness some common sense prevailed and they took the bloods, now for some good results :)

AFM - just so darn busy, Flynn is crying as I type - he is Mr Catnap in the day, but the other night slept 8 hours (the most so far), usually more like 5-6 straight - so guess I can't have it both ways, but makes for a LOOONNNNGGGGG day iykwim. Am feeling a bit flat, but trying to keep it under wraps, think I'm in need of some ME time, not going to happen DH is away all next week, oh joy........
