Inertia - unfortunately you are normal ;) My first child was stillborn and when we found we were having another daughter I was devastated. I wasn't ready for another girl :( I found our pregnancy with DS difficult but after he was born I was in love and all was good :D With DD, I was scared. Scared to love her in case she was taken away too. I could safely bring a boy here, but I doubted I could do the same with a girl. Caitlyn had been taken - why did I think our next daughter wouldn't be taken as well. It wasn't that I didn't love her because I did. I was just terrified she would die too.
It took a couple of months for that connection to occur. For a while she was smiling at everyone else but not me. That hurt sooooooo much :( Then she smiled at me ............ and it seemed to flick a switch. Yes, she may die. Yes, she may be taken from me. But I could love her now and treasure the moments we have, because life is precious and even if I am scared, it is worth the risk.
If it is a real problem for you, it may be time to chat to someone about your unresolved grief and how it is impacting on your family now. Otherwise, take heart in the knowledge that it is perfectly normal. Not pleasant, but normal

Hi girls,
Hope everyone is managing to keep their head above water atm!
A quick Q from me… is it normal to have some sharp twinges in the lower belly, just above the hoo-ha around now, apart from the normal BH’s and back pain I have been getting some sharp little twinges (like when your first pg and baby is settling in). And to top it all off, I have started to pee my pants – YEP – little tiny trickles here and there, so now Im wearing pads!!! Ahhh the joys of the final semester.
Hugs to all
Lis xx
