Dont have any details just a sms sometime early this morning, he was born by emergency csection last night sometime and is in the NICU. Michelle is exhausted. She'll give details to someone later (Deb might know?) I think for now she is resting and processing everything.
huh just realised Michelle might not have wanted me to share...............I figured everyone would have gotten sms's. Or maybe she sent it to me because she knows I would be up half the night anyway and wanted me to share..............either way send lots of love and prayers to her and George. Hopefully when I kick this cold I can go visit and give her hugs from everyone in person.
Let's just keep it to this thread until we hear further. I'm sending all my love to Michelle and George. She must feel on a roller coaster of emotions. I hope George is in her arms soon.
Guys I've just been txting with Michelle. Please all light your candles and start praying for Michelle and George. They are facing some hurdles and every little bit of positivity and love we can send their way will help.
Congratulations, Michelle. I hope all is well. I will definitely keep my sick little boy away from the hospital as I very much do not want to spread his germs to those now caring for newborns. I remember nights in special care all too well and how horrible it is to be separated from your child at this time.
Welcome earth side, George. Be strong for mummy and get yourself out of NICU and into her arms where you belong as soon as possible.
Just read the news that George has arrived - Michelle - you have done an amazing job bringing him into the world safely - I pray you are okay after a huge and emotional week, and that George is safe and well and being looked after. Can only imagine how ecstatic and drained you must feel all at the same time - deep breathes hon, have been thinking of you constantly xxoxoxo look forward to seeing a pic or two of the little man when you are up to it.....xoxoxoxo
I also gave Michelle a quick phone call earlier tonight. Please keep her and sweet little George in your thoughts and prayers.
Janie I hope you're feeling better soon hun.
I'm ok. Pain seems to have eased a bit so am hopeful its nothing serious. I'm on 2 weeks holidays as of tomorrow lunchtime and I can tell you it hasn't come quick enough.
DH and I are planning on taking Sage to see Toy Story on Sunday. The movies are showing it in regular screen as well as 3D. I 1st thought it was only in 3D and was a bit disappointed that Sage wouldn't be able to see it at the movies. He's a huge Woody and Buzz fan atm lol.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Sorry for the lack of personals tonight too. Will try and catch up a bit more over the next few days.
michelle, you and George have been in my thoughts.
mako, I have horrible pain when I ovulate. I have issues with cysts as well and they can be very painful. I am glad that you are starting to feel better. Have a great holiday!
Bun, I know how hard it can be to ask for help. You should really let them know how you are feeling. My mom and I had the same issue for a while. Come to find out, she was worried that she would be bothering me. She didn't want to interrupt nap time or feeding time. Sometimes you need to let tham know that you need some interruptions.
kelly, It is tough being pregnant and caring for an active little one. It makes it even harder when you don't have family close by to help you on those tough days. You are not perfect, only human, and there are most likely going to be many more moments when you lose you patients. You are still a good mom.
AFM, I am taking a trip home to New york for the long weekend. I haven't been home in a while and I don't see too many trips in the near future. It is a 5 hour drive and I am not going to be doing that with 2 little ones or with a huge pregnant belly. I can't wait to see my family and friends. I feel really alone being so far away.
I think I am starting to relax a bit about the ultrasound results. My doctor really did try to tell me that it is most likely nothing and to not worry about it. Easier said than done. I guess soft markers are something to look at more closely if your blood work comes back positive.
Yes, I've spoken to Michelle today & it's been a very big day today. SEE HERE
George has improved so our prayers are helping - so let's keep at it. Quan Yin hasn't been let burn out since George's birth (actually since before!). I am sending REiki as are so many people here & importantly I am just loving her from afar. Crying, laughing, thinking, being and having faith that all will be just fine - but clearly the journey is a difficult one.
If you read this gorgeous - you are LOVED!
AFM I am really crap. Things have gone to pot again and tonight I have the migraine from hell. Just been for voimit number 3 & am ready to sleep. I will come back tomorrow when I have brain function.
Thank you so much for the update Deb. I've been beside myself with worry and I know how much each and every one of us care for Michelle and the kids. George is a fighter, he must take after his amazing mum.
Now as for you please try to get some rest I've spoken to you so many times over the last few days and I'm sorry I haven't asked about you. Will call you tomorrow.
I am okay Spring. When everyone is healthy, we have a roof over our heads and food on our tables we are blessed.
Right now we are all barracking for our gorgeous friend & then we will all be able to heave a massive sigh of relief the day that they both walk through their door at home.
You know - this brings it all "homne" doesn't it? Just how amazing Women are - how we all rely on each other so much for comfort and support. Also just how little it takes to be happy. Health, friends, family, a home to live in and food on our plates.
We are all here Michelle helping you through this - we truly are.
Kelly How did your scan go? I hope you didn't have to go solo and I hope Luke is feeling better too.
Bun So pleased you sorted some stuff out with your mum. Its awful when there is a bit of tension in the air
I hope Catherine is feeling better soon too. Your latest pics are beautiful
Hi to everyone. No time for personals right now as I need to go find something to cook a certain little boy something for dinner as his daddy and mummy won't be eating until late tonight as DH is working late and then playing basketball
Similar story here, mako. I'm currently hiding for a little while as in the night garden will keep Sam quiet and give me some space for a bit. We're both sick, but he's recovering faster than me... DH just called... normally home at 6pm, hasn't left work yet, doesn't know when he'll be able to, and I just want to cry! At least I just have stuff that I can reheat for everyone's dinner tonight - I was exhausted before I even got out of bed.
Had my scan today and I'm afraid all didn't quite go to plan. Wtf is going on... can't something just go right for once!!!?? I'm so frustrated and angry and upset and just really don't know what to think. We're praying everything is ok and all indications point towards it all being ok but there's a shadow of doubt on one of the measurements from today. My head is all over the place so sorry for the poor explanation but it was a measurement in the brain... the amount of fluid between two points... and it was a bit higher than they would like. Everything else looked fine.. which is really positive but there's still this grey area that they're a bit worried about. Its normally something that is associated with downs syndrome.. but the other indicators, including my 12 week scan results and the measurement in the bone in bubs nose... were all perfect, so it's a bit confusing. We are seeing our OB on Wednesday avo so will know more then... but of course our OB is away on holidays isn't she... so we're seeing her replacement. The guy today said that the couple of things they'd do are an Amnio (but with my other good results he probably wouldn't go down that track).. or another scan and MRI to check that everything is ok. So we're in limbo a little bit and it's not much fun. I'm just really p*ssed off and don't know what to think. Haven't we all been through enough and why can't we just have some good news in here for once!!
Sorry guys... was really hoping to bring some better news in here. The only good thing about today is that DH was at the scan with me... THANK GOD.. I would not have coped without him. Luke seems to be a lot better, so he came along too... although when we were trying to understand what was going on he kept saying he was feeling sick!!! Just what we needed. He was ok though and i think he's just playing it up now... little monster!
