I was seriously asking - do you have childcare options for the one night / two days? I am planning ;)
Depends are on sale at Amcal at the moment Jayney!!!!   (I only know this as they were right in front of me at the counter this aftenoon...)
   Poor Jayney!! But you haven't answered my question ...............
Oh Jayne Jayne Jayne. Just for you, because I luffs you, I will have sex with my husband tonight (providing AF holds off) and do exactly what you told me to and hope he is so grateful at getting some he answers without thinking because once a yes is said it cannot be taken back. Its a rule in my house, no take backsies. But dont feel you need to pee your pants for me though ok? ;)
I have to say I'm slowly turning green with envy... But considering we are struggling to keep ourselves fed between now and next pay (tomorrow - so Friday I should have money in the account to shop!) it's certainly not an option for me - with or without Sam. :(
But the boy is finally starting to speak a bit more. "Bye" is now used regularly. He was so happy waving at daddy and saying bye this morning that he forgot that it means daddy is leaving and he cried once the door closed behind him. But he now has limited phone conversations with DH - usually just "hiya" and "bye", but it's something!
Other than that - no changes. We certainly can't afford to go back to IVF even if we decided we wanted to, so... waiting until I can afford to pay for a GP appointment before I even think about what now.
BW
You girls are very silly, love it :p
Forgive me for being selfish, but I do think 2 nights away is so much better than 1! 1 is just a taste..... 2 you will feel you've been somewhere! Let us aim for 2!!!!! Is this doable, I will still be very glad with one if thats all you girls can do though....
Janey - how you holding up?? Can only imagine the brain chaos with an international move - I may have one on the cards myself, DH works for DFAT and a posting could be imminent if we desire it (but I only want to go somewhere I can have a housegirl or two !!!!) ... keep you posted.
Michelle - talk soon lovely xoxoxoxo
Lee xoxoxo
Just checking that Freya is basking in the afterglow of smugness??? Did it work my dear?
Thanks Deb, I'll need some Depends, that's for sure.
LEE _ I am loving your style, 2 night is WAY better than 1!!!!
Hahahaha... I love you girls!!! How exciting.. it's times like these that I'm so glad we made the move to Melbourne.. I can't wait for our catch up!!!!
Freya - Can't wait to hear how you go with DH.... *wink* *wink*!! So sneaky!
Jayne - Better run out and get those Depends!!
BW - Yay Sam.. that's great hun and sending you lots of hugs, sounds like its a bit of a tough time right now.
Sorry, no time for any more... I'm VERY busy packing and trying to sort everything out because we're moving house in TWO WEEKS - eeeeeekkk!! There's so much to do and it's a little overwhelming for a 25 week pregnant and emotional basketcase - LOL!! I'm desperately collecting boxes and newspapers. I've packed three whole boxes now and can't even begin to think how many more I'll be doing in the next two weeks. We had such a stressful day yesterday, at one stage, it looked like it had all fallen through and then somehow at about 5pm.. it all worked out!!! We got the house we wanted and the tentants that wanted this place confirmed!! I'm amazed that something actually worked out for us!! Now I can get this move over with and FINALLY for the very first time... focus just on this baby!! I'm very excited about that.. with everything we've been through, I haven't been able to focus on the baby and what a wonderful gift we have. It's going to be brilliant. Best of all, my Mum and Brother are both coming over and it just so happens that it's the week we're moving.. how amazing is that!!!! So very lucky.
Anyway must get back to the packing and organising! Ohhhh.. and I'll be in the new house obviously before our catch up... and it's has a park and playground over the back fence (with a private gate in our back fence).. could be an option for our big catch up... although I don't know how everyone will get there.. it's about 15km from the city!! Worth thinking about though, I'd be happy to have you all over!!
Kel xxx
Congrats on getting the house you wanted Kelly. All the best with the packing and moving.
BW Its great when these little people of ours start to use their words more...Won't be long and he'll be talking your ear off lol.
You girls are a crack up. I'm putting my order in for wanting to see lots of photos from your Melbourne trip.
Freya good luck with the sweet talking lol.
My appointment went ok on Monday. I had a blood test to check to see O levels and got the results back today...a whopping 93.8 so am hoping like mad that we managed to catch that egg. Should know by the middle of next week.
Not feeling to hopeful but with how tired I have been for the past week or so and the very tender boobies anything is possible I guess. I'm certainly not getting my hopes up.
Sage is coming to have swimming lessons with me tomorrow. He's sooooo excited lol. He's having a sleepover at my mums tonight as I have to start early in the morning and its not fair to ask her to travel here at the crack of dawn so DH and I are making the most of it and are going to the movies tonight.
Sorry for the lack of personals. I hope everyone is well.
Hi Mako,
Have a blast on date night tonight!!! What are you going to see?
Can't wait to hear bout Sage's swimming lesson tomorrow.
Plus, your results are sounding pretty good! ;)
I've had a bad day & night last night. I posted in personal growth. I will BB on the weekend. I went to Chenrezig today just to blow the cobwebs...
Hi Jayne we didn't end up going out last night as DH didn't get home from work in time  but we did go out and buy some new timber venetians for our lounge room so we ended up ripping down the very old shabby verticals and putting the new ones up without Sage trying to help lol.
As for his swimming lesson..he LOVED it and tbh so did I. He laughed and laughed the whole time and he did everything I asked him to do ie kick his legs, blow bubbles put his face in and attempted to do big arms lol oh and he did some diving attempts too..sooooo cute when its you're own kid and not someone elses itms ;)
He can't wait to go again next week and even had to call his Nan(MIL as she's on holidays) to tell her all about it hahaha.
Deb sending you massive  hun. I wish things were easier for you.
Hi Ladies. I know I only really posted the once but I still feel a bit out of place invading in here under the circumstances. But I just had to check with you ladies again. We passed that magic 1 year - where SIDS risk is virtually non-existent... so why am I still a paranoid freak? Am I still going to be living some quiet paranoid hell when she is 20 something and getting married? I still cant bring myself to take her for Vax and I am about ready to go do a conscientious objector form because I am starting to think I will never feel comfortable with doing it. I am starting to worry that I am not reacting normally. My sister is far more laid back with her baby of the same age and my SIDS niece was her baby!
What do you think, do I need help? Or is this just more extreme but still normal behaviour?
BR - I have all three of my earth babies in bed with me. I still worry about finding them dead (not necessarily SIDS) and after DH dying in April I don't think that sensation is going to leave me any time soon  I actually found my reality - it just wasn't the children.
It is an issues if you think it is an issue OR if it is impacting on your ability to sleep or function
BR - Hugs. I have to say that after each baby my anxiety has grown. Eva who is 13 months has only just left our bedroom where as the other 2 were in their own room from early on. Also I have days where I fear myself or my DH not being around anymore. Hun if you feel like your fears or anxiety is taking over your days then please see a professional. Please come in here and chat, that can really help
BR - I still have times like that regularly. I have a panic attack lying in bed and might dream about the kids dying. I think its normal concerns for parents. And I dont know of anyone personally that has lost a child to SIDS.
Hi ladies, for those that have seen on Jayne's fb status today that Miss Jessica has been unwell, she wanted me to let you know that they in are hossy, and are being admitted to have an MRI......Drs suspect an aneurysm :( PLEASE don't say anything on fb, and send lots of get well vibes to Jess.
 Jayney, you know you and J are in my thoughts, I WISH so much I was close by and could help out. Hang in there babe.
Oh Jayne I really hope Jess is ok and that you are coping as best as you can atm. Your poor little poppet  I'll be thinking of you all hun
Janie thanks for letting us know and please keep us updated if you hear any more from Jayne.
I sure will Mako
I was thinking that or meningitis when I saw the post today but I didn't get a chance to post a response to her :( Thank you Janie xx
Yeah Michelle, I wondered about meningitis too, but never thought aneurysm. I really hope she's okay, I'm so worried.
Thinking of you Jayne, I wish there was something I could do for you xxx
Oh poor Jayne and poor Jess... My thoughts are with them.
BW
Far out! Poor Jayne and Jess. I'm praying like crazy that she's ok.
OMG... I'll send her a message now!! I've been worried about her but had no idea it would be anything like that... so scary. Poor thing has been through enough lately, why do things like this keep happening to such amazing people... life just isn't fair but I'm praying all is fine!!
Kel xxx
Anyone heard anything from Jayne??? I'm really worried. Sent her a message last night and haven't had a response.. I don't want to keep bugging her but hope we hear something soon.
As for me... I had another scan today to follow up the brain measurements and all is still looking great... I'm soooo releived. They even said we probably didn't need to worry about another scan - YAY!!! Best of all... they finally switched the machine to 3D for us today and we got to have a really good look at bubs face... it looks soooo much like Luke did.. a little cutie!!! It's incredibly exciting, I can't contain myself... really need to scan the pics in and get them up on FB!
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Kel xxxx
OMG, poor Jess! I hope everything is ok Jayne, thinking of you.
I was hoping that we had some more news on Miss Jess too. Jayne I can't even begin to imagine how scary a time this is for you. I wish I was closer so I could do something to help. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and am hoping like mad that everything is ok
Kelly WOOHOO on a wonderful scan and how exciting that you got to see bubs face in 3D. How is Luke doing?
Bun how are you and the family doing? I hope all the sickness has left you all alone for a while.
Michelle how are you coping hun? I know you are doing it all on your own now and have been thinking of you lots  Oh and I should let you know that every single time Sage sees me on FB he asks to see George and says "oh bubba george, so cute" lol.He is right though cos George is very cute ;)
I'm so happy atm. Sage has been in undies for 5 whole days and we've only had 2 accidents. He even tells us he needs to wee when we are out.He was funny on Tuesday as he and I were trawling the car yards to try and find me a new 2nd hand car(finally) and he even told me he needed to go to the toilet then hahaha and best of all he sat on a big person toilet seat and didn't freak out. He has a little seat with a step attatched here and at the inlaws house so I am very very proud of him. He's woken from his naps dry each day too but he still wears a pull up to bed during the day and a nappy at night.
I hope everyone else is doing well.
Mako - Sage is sooooo cute :D
Just a quick one as I try to settle the masses. I received a very special bundle of gifts in the mail from my PAML cheersquad yesterday which was such a special surprise. I know Willow has been trying and trying to get over here but the bugs keep beating her (hopefully they are actually getting better today too!!!) so it was postal rather than hand delivered. The good news is - my little man is so little he will fit into his gifts for quite some time ;) Not to mention they are PERFECT for our trip back to the IL's in a little while and for the evening football games. Perfectly toasty. And there is some encouragement to actually print off some of our pictures. In particular, my gift is just stunning. I just need an occasion to wear it to  I know - how about Melbourne!!!
It looks like Melbourne is in the planning. My gorgeous best friend is putting in a request to have that weekend off and as soon as she lets me know the result (after the weekend) I should be able to make bookings. If the parents can come down early - great, but if not I still have back up plans in progress. I need the time away although I will pay for it when I get back. The month of September is a very, very tough one so a night away will be a blessing.
Week one solo down and we have survived. Finding a rhythm of sorts. Bedtime sucks because I am needed to settle all three but we will get there one day. And I got a 2 hour catch up nap today with someone to monitor the progressively waking little ones. BBL - moo girl wants boobie.
Just a question; what weekend are you all meeting in Melb?
Im still not sure Id be able to make it, but the inlaws are coming around 24th Sept for 2wks and Ry was talking about getting holidays for the whole time so I might possibly be able to steal away for a day/night/day. Might end up being a last min decision.
Hi my lovely Ladies,
Just a superly quick post. We are home with Miss Jess today. I wouldn't let them do a Lumbar Puncture on her & the other option was a MRI but they have to do that under GA & given that she had passed all her neuro tests with flying colours, they decided not to do the MRI unless she presents with headaches like she did Thursday morning. The initial suspect was menengitis, then it went to an aneurism or even a brain tumour. She was giddy all over, couldn't stand up, kept on lying on the floor saying she was falling down & unable to walk in a straight line & staggered sideways into the gurney in the GP's office. Also, she vomited persistently with a headache. So was all very scary & it's usually Claudia who gives me medical grief, Jess is the super healthy one of them. Anyway, they have decided that she had a dose of vertigo due to finding some fluid behind her ear drum which was still retracted following a big ear infection she had 6 weeks ago. Our GP has been notified & should she get another headache or start vomiting again, or get a fever, or anything of the like, I have to call him, who will put her back into hospital & then she will get the MRI. The way they explained things to me this morning, I felt really comfortable with bringing her home & she is back to her usual sparkly self today - attitude & all!
So, I'm officially DONE with hospitals. To think we didn't even visit the GP AT ALL in 2009 & already for 2010 I have met the Medicare Safety Gap!!!! Ridiculous. I think my nerves are freaking shots to pieces, my patience is about zero & I'm just about done with 2010. Wake me when it's 2011 please!!! Oh & Claudia has her biopsy on Thursday. Far out man. Thankfully Alan is home on Wednesday to share some of the load.
I'm so sorry for such a selfish post, entirely not my intention, I am a loser & have no life this weekend, so I'm sure I will make up for the selfishness.
Love Jayne
Far out Hun. My heart was racing just reading your post. It must have been terrifying. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear she is feeling better.
My thoughts will be with you for Claudia's biopsy. Bug cuddles from afar
Spring x
Michelle: congrats on week one flying solo. I love reading on fb about your adorable children. You are doing a wonderful job raising them.
Mako: WTG Sage!!! It's so nice when they are out of nappies. Makes life a little easier. That is until they want to start wiping their own pooey nappy (lol)
Freya: if you go to Melb will you be taking any kids?
Well we got a great tax return so don't piddle your pants but I'm thinking of trying to make it to Melb. I'll have to bring B but would most likely leave O with DH. So what are the dates? I have to consider also my IL's are there and if I visit without seeing them I'd be in huge poo. So just an idea at this stage.
Prob not Spring. Only because Ry should be on holidays and the inlaws should be here. If Stell were younger I would for sure. Im prob only going to stay a night (think I might push my luck with two after my 4 days at the GC lol)
 this is looking bigger than Ben Hur :D I would be going down on the Friday 1/10 and going home Saturday evening but I am yet to sort out details. Can I pee my pants yet ;)
Right I'll get onto that seduction proposal when Ry gets back next week and see if we cant make this a massive meetup  :)
ETA - I can get flights for under $200 return to come home either the saturday or the sunday. What is the accomodation again? I scrolled back but cant find where everyone is staying at, I know its in the city right?
Michelle, Spring - maybe we can ordinate arriving at similar times to share taxi's or airport shuttle, and give each other a hand?
I feel so sad! As much as I would dearly love to take off to Melbourne and visit a heap of people in Victoria, when we're struggling to keep the rent paid and food on the table - not gonna happen!
But I finally lodged my forms to apply for the disability pension and had my assessment yesterday... It won't be a quick process, but if I get approved, the pressure will be lifted somewhat. Keep your fingers crossed, we NEED this!
Hope everyone has a great time!
BW
I'm so freaking excited!!!!! I'm heading to Canberra with the boys on the Sunday afternoon, so maybe some of us will have another meet up at the airport LOL. I'll have to be super-organised and packed on the Friday so I can relax with all you lovely women on the Saturday. Did I mention that I'm excited????? :D
Hi beautiful girls,
Jayne - so sorry I have not responded to your news about your wee girl... been so tied up to the point of getting ill, I just didn't want to give you a 'throwaway' line.... my heart, like Springs, did a little jumping when I read about your possible diagnosis, but I'm thanking the powers that be that you are all home, and how is the little Miss now? Thank you universe for giving you a bit more grief this year NOT... huge hugs hon xoxo
Girls - I think it's permissible to WET ONES PANTS !!!!!!!!!
I have not booked anything yet, but will have a look this week - there's a few daily flight between Hobart-Melbourne - I would prefer 2 nights away - so same as Michelle would arrive on Friday 1st Oct. I'm happy to share a room or LARGE S****Y APARTMENT with a few of you girls - just too old do share a bed with girls, so must have own bed lol.... what was the name of where you are staying Jayne?? Be good if we are all in the one spot I reckon... I won't be bringing any of my babes, as I want a break!
Got my best friend from Sydney here this weekend, having a great time, but her little girl is sick, so not much fun for her.... other than that my little Remy turned 2 yesterday - gone so fast, she is SO CUTE at the moment, but I must admit to lookig forward to putting the toddler years behind us - cos EVERYTHING is an issue atm, and frankly it's goddam tiring!! I know I should not wish it away, but I just find the older kid thing so much easier..... anyway live in the moment and all that huh!?!
Best choof, going to steal a hot bath by myself!
Happy planning - Spring and Freya would be SO good if you could make it down to Melbourne too..... let us keep plotting and scheming!
Love to all, Lee xox
hmmmm, just read my post and laughed that BB did not allow the word S W A N K Y ...... !
