Spring - Sending some massive hugs your way on what will be a very difficult day for you. I wish there was more I could say to help you through and I wish so much that little Harry way there to enjoy the cake you've made. It breaks my heart. I hope you're surrounded by lots of love and hugs today... we're certainly all thinking of you!
Freya - How are you?? I've been thinking of you also and praying all is ok.
AFM - Been feeling a little bit down again lately.. just so tired and have been really sore all week.. lots of cramping and just feeling yuck (not sure if I'm maybe getting some braxton hicks or something). Probably did way too much yesterday which hasn't helped, I just miss having my family around to help out.. and it was my Dad's birthday yesterday (he passed away when I was 17)... so that always stirs up some emotions! The joys of life hey! Can't complain though.. I've certainly got a lot of 'good' in my life right now and need to focus on that. All of you wonderful ladies help me realise that and I hope you know I'm forever grateful!!
Spring - tears in my eyes as you relive your first precious baby boy's sad birth - the passage of time can be a doulbe edged sword, but at times like this the pain is just as sharp, if not sharper, than 4 years ago. We understand sweetie. Dear sweet little Harry, happy 4th birthday, you are loved and remembered forever xoxoxo
Freya - did you get your bloods back yet? Praying you get good news, please let us know hon.
AFM - Melbourne a distant, but oh so beautiful memory now girls - trying not to loose it - and keep my calm - have enlisted my mum to come down next week, she's not renowned for her initiative, but she is a body in the house if I need to pop out when a baby is asleep etc.... so will help a bit!
Happy fourth birthday Harry! I wish he was here to eat his birthday cake but know that he is surrounded by alot of love from alot of people, as you are Kristy
Jayne - Thinking of you too hun.. hope the flight is/went ok.. would of been a very hard day for you yesterday. Can't wait to hear all about your new surroundings!!!

Hi to everyone.
We have a busy weekend here with Rach's little girl Evangeline's 1st Birthday party today shame its raining but anyway Princess Lilli is letting us know she's around too I'm sure the kids will have fun running around the park in the rain lol and tomorrow we have another birthday party for a friend's little boy so hopefully the weather clears up a bit by then.
Hi Ladies,
I know that I have been missing for a while. I have been in hiding just waiting for this bub. I just wanted to stop in and tell everyone that he is growing well. He is on the large side!!! It is so amazing. I never thought that we could be so lucky again. I have my c-section scheduled for November 10th. I have been having weekly ultrasounds to check on fluid levels, activity and growth.
Im hanging in there. Feeling like Im getting another cold which is so bloody awesome on top of everything else. Add to that 3 sick kids still and Im ready to crawl into a hole.
Ive been thinking today; maybe I should be getting some investigation done about my miscarriages. Ive had four confirmed and a few early BFP's that turned into "late period's" and I keep thinking maybe there is something more to it than being unlucky. Then I think Im being an idiot because hey I have 3 healthy boys right (even if one was a clomid conception)? Apparently the odds of TWO blighted ovum's is slim to none, esp for someone of my age, and usually due to chromosomal abnormalities.
I dont know; Dh says I can do whatever makes me feel better about TTC another baby but I just feel like Im grasping at straws.
What would you girls do in my situation? Would you go with gut instinct and get investigations going?
When it comes to an FS in Sydney, the one that I would have no hesitation in recommending is Dr S. I have one that I'd very definitely say DO NOT go to him as well.
I would obviously second the Dr S recommendation. He is in enough locations that it should be easy enough for you to see him (can't think off the top of my head which would be closest for you but I think he's changed days/locations since I saw him anyway).
I am so sorry you're having to go through this again It is just so very unfair.
Freya. I'm so very sorry you are going through this.
I saw DR S and yes he was lovely but he just didn't come through for me when I needed him too back in March but I think that was because I don't live in Sydney.
I had some of the blood tests done for him but they weren't accurate as I was preg at the time and didn't know as it was way too early. Anyway just a heads up he will want your DH to do a SA which my DH wasn't keen on doing as he'd done one for another specialist before we had Sage and men being men well I don't need to say anymore
Anyway I'd go and see him and see what he says. It can't hurt hun
Willow its great to see you pop in here every now and then too
I'm with BW on the DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE guy and Dr S is a good option for repeated miscarriages. Just a feeling but I wonder if the boys have anything to do with the other pregnancies not progressing Fleeting thought flew in as was considering how cruddy 2010 has been
Freya if you want to have investigations there is no one better in my opinion than Dr S. He is incredibly knowledgeable & I have yet to find anyone that didn't find him very very dedicated. He won't offer you a magic wand - which of course would be nice! But he is real. He is busy but he is also honest about what he has coming up so as not to disappoint.
I have spoken to past patients who have lost up to 19 pregnancies & had success with his therapies. Remembering of course that each case is different. I don't believe in Australia there is anyone that I would put myself in the hands of (& there wasn't anyone else for me!). Tho he didn't "treat" me as such we spoke at length often & he listened, spoke to me like I was an intelligent Woman & gave me opinions that made sense.
