Mate, two Fridays ago we were late for school (I’m blaming DH for not winding the clock in the lounge room, it was getting slower and slower and I didn’t notice). We got there after lines and they were all in the classroom sitting down and doing their work. I was mortified. Then Friday last week I sent DS1 in his normal school uniform, I should have sent him in his sports uniform. Mortified again. Today was the first Friday I’ve got right!
Your DS is resilient, and independent, and confident, and extremely intelligent. I think you’re doing a fabulous job. Just like me! PMSL. I know how you feel though, I cried (a bit later, in the car) when we were late and then about him being in the wrong uniform. But he was fine, just like your DS.
If it makes you feel better my mum forgot all if us a few times!!! Lol. First time was when I was 6 months old. Asleep in the bassinet by the front door. She drove half way (15minuyes) to my grandmothers before she realised!!! I was still asleep. And yes. She was more upset than I!!! Every parent does it. And it doesn't mean you suck! You just got the time wrong!! Expect it to happen again one day!!!
