When dd was in kindy it was the end of term and they were having a Teddy bear's picnic with the parents and finishing early. I forgot all about it and got there the normal time, just as dd's teacher was calling to find out where I was. I felt terrible, but I doubt she remembers (it's the sort of thing she would still be bringing up if she did)
