Aww sweet, I have no advice I just wanted to give you a big and let you know you are not a bad mummy, you are doing the best you can.
We all lose our cool at times, I know I do and I only have one DS!

Ahhh sista I'm hearin ya!!!!!! My god its hard if the newborn is having an unsettled time huh..

DD was having an unusual unsettled time this morning (hasn't been like that for months) and I was trying to get her to sleep, and DS would be stomping down the hallway screaming mummeeeeeeeeeee mumeeeeeeeee mummmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and then come into her room and say helllooooooooooooo mummyyyyyyyy.... it was driving me nuts cos he kept waking her up!!!!!! After 5 hours of being awake - she finally fell asleep.

So yup. I'm hearin ya...

Try my mantra - it won't be like this forever... it won't be like this forever...
today I even counted to 10.. lol

It sure is hard..

The only advice i have is this.. relax (yes I know its hard) just relax and go ok so ds1 is awake lets just go and sit and colour in or watch tv or something.. Ds2 will prob settle easier if you feel relaxed..

I do know how hard this is. When I had DD1 (4th bub) I was finding it hard to settle her because by ds3 who was 2 at the time just wouldn't shut up to put it nicely. and ds2 who was 4 at the time just kept running and egging the 2 yr old on.. in the end I though I need to chiill or no one is going to rest.. so one day I just stopped worrying about who slept or rested when and I actually had a decent day.. not every day was smooth sailing. but it got better..

even now I was getting frustrated with my ds3 because it is rest time and dd simply won't go to sleep if the boys are jumping about. So I had to go put him on his bed and she was getting all upset to.. I took a few deep breaths (swore in my head) and said Right. Ds3 out here on the couch. Ds2 on the couch.. DD fed her gt her to sleep and now we are calm..

Sorry for the ramble.. I hope they both settle for you soon.. I know how much ME time is needed.. during the day even just an hour in a quiet house can recharge you

Thanks guys, its good to see that other people have been through this and have lived to tell the tale I think i'm just feeling down because today has been an extra bad day, I think i've FINALLY gotten DS2 back to sleep and DS1 is due to wake up any minute so the place will be very noisy again soon..hopefull DS2 will be in a nice deep sleep before DS1 wakes up.

I guess sometimes i get the self pitty's a bit...it seems like out of all my friends with kids i have the loudest, most wild, tantrumy boy ever One of my friends has a 3 week old and she's an angel....Where was i when they were handing out well behaved kids??? just kidding
I'm sure the tantrums come from my hubby's side lol
