    you go MENU....Down arrow to TEMPERATURE, PRESS TICK, alert on/off, press tick....it should say alert off?, press tick

    Also in the temperature menu you can change the minimum and maximum temps before it alarms.....

    Thanks everyone I am looking at the Oricom 200 I think.. My other choice is the Angelcare but will see what the nursery store has in stock.

    We've got a GroEgg and our monitor, an Angel Care Sound and Movement, has the temp too. I can't believe what others have told you about the GroEgg!! Ours is awesome and as good as new - DD is 17 months old this week! Too bright? No way!! The light on her monitor is far brighter and even that's not bright but good enough to find your way in the wee hours of the night. The temp on our Egg has always been accurate and in line with our monitor AND the aircon in DD's room - three thermometers all stating the same temp surely can't all be wrong! I'd highly recommend a GroEgg.
