I think just reiterating over and over. She will get it eventually. But when she DOES tell you something she does make a BIG deal about it. Praise her, tell her how good she must feel that she told the truth etc.
My granny's way would be doing the same in reverse. Tell fibs (not hurtful ones) and then when she pulls you up on it ask how she feels. I can so picture my grandmother telling us she's made chocolate sauce and it's actually gravy or something and then blaming the foxAnd then the usual "Well how do you like it?" People these days say that's a horrible way to parent, but she's the one I remember with the fondest memories because she never yelled or smacked or lost control, but she taught me A LOT! And always with a smile.
