    Co-sleeping siblings

My 4 year old DS and 2.5 year old DD have started sharing a room, and DD2 has moved from co-sleeping with me into the nursery. We initially made the move just to test whether the two older kids would be ok in the same room together, and they are really loving it. My son has a huge king double loft bed and there is no room for a cot for my DD in the room (she's currently in the significantly smaller portacot), so we are looking at our options for beds. Hubby is keen to pack up the big bed and store it for now, and get a set of bunks for them. Now I'm wondering whether we should get a double or queen bed and let them sleep together...? A part of me has always liked the idea of a "family bed", but hubby is happy having the kids out of our room and in their own rooms. But I know that I like sleeping with someone right next to me, so I'm sure that kids probably do as well. Do many people have their kids co-sleeping in the same bed? I'm not sure if it's a "normal" thing to do... Not that I tend to follow the "norm" lol

My boys shared DS1 king single for about 5 months. We had to seperate them sadly as DS2 was scratching and pinching DS1 and DS1 was constantly covered in scratches that we were worried would scar as so deep and often.
They loved it once were asleep and not hurting each other and still now try and go to bed together in 1 bed ut cause silly behaviour and heads knocking.
They both come down to us at various times overnight and always end up snuggled together between us in the morning.

Your DS has an awesome bed its so cool, I would be inclined to get a queen size bed and put that in there and have them share it, as long as you don't have issues liked we had with attacking each other!!

Go for it much nicer to be next to someone especially in winter.

Nothing like a cuddle from DD after a hard day's work!

How about a bunk with a double/queen bed at the bottom. That way if they wish to sleep togetjer the option is there

We've had ours sleeping 3 in a double bed and they were fine except when one woke up, they woke the others up crawling over them to get out of bed.

Dd2 and 3 sleep in our bed with us at the moment but DS and dd1 have their own rooms. Sometimes dd1 sneaks into sleep with ds in the middle of the night though.

DDs 1 and 2 shared a queen size bed for just under three years. They now each have a queen size bed in the same room, and on weekends will frequently bedshare again. They love it, and it always worked well for us

They are all lovely stories Well, maybe not the pinching Feeb, lol.

I think I really like the idea of the bunk with the queen or double on the bottom so they have the option. I can't believe I didn't even think of that hehe
