My boys shared DS1 king single for about 5 months. We had to seperate them sadly as DS2 was scratching and pinching DS1 and DS1 was constantly covered in scratches that we were worried would scar as so deep and often.
They loved it once were asleep and not hurting each other and still now try and go to bed together in 1 bed ut cause silly behaviour and heads knocking.
They both come down to us at various times overnight and always end up snuggled together between us in the morning.

Your DS has an awesome bed its so cool, I would be inclined to get a queen size bed and put that in there and have them share it, as long as you don't have issues liked we had with attacking each other!!

Go for it much nicer to be next to someone especially in winter.
