I'm at work today. But when DS is driving me insane, I usually give in to his constant demands to watch TV. His latest favourites are Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & "Doc Brown" (Back to the Future). Other fave's are Penguins (Happy Feet), Fireman Sam, Antz & Cars. I know most of these off by heart now. But it gives me some peace & quiet... until it's over & DS is screaming "more more" & goes into hysterics if I say no or try to insist on a short break to eat, wee, sleep or any other of life's necessities that 2yo's think they can do without

Nina - I should think that most 2 years olds with knock over the playpen or climb out of it! But yes, good for a bit of space for me.

DS1 is now outside in sandpit and DS2 is inside watching him through the glass windows from his bumbo. It sounds wrong, but I feel like the saying "two birds with one stone" is appropriate!

I am having an internet day!!

DD can entertain herself int he same room and I have the telly going ....... I just cannot be bothered with her toddler tanty moods today, plus she is getting sick so more grizzly than usual>

DD is driving me CRAZY!! She usually sleeps at least 5 hours a day, but has only had 2 today.
My lovely, darling, and sensible husband taught her how to do high pitched squealing. He taught her and then left for a week. My ears were close to bleeding yesterday and today. He won't be home til Saturday.

So, to get through today, DD's had a few bikkies and had a lovely time playing with a cardboard cover off the Big Bang DVD, and I introduced her to a pot and a wooden spoon.

DD is currently so distracted when she feeds - to the point where she sometimes just doesn't unless I have her alone with me in the room, lying down. If DS is around, making a noise then it is absolutely hopeless. So, in a moment of desperation today, I put DS in his high chair in front of the TV, gave him two freckle chocolates, put Mickey Mouse on and went to feed DD in the bedroom for about 15 minutes. Shocking, huh?
