Is this weird or am i being over protective?

I am quite surprised this is the norm actually, but it's my job as a parent that i protect my children from such things that could happen as best i can. Personally i don't really think it is appropriate, strange people walking around naked, maybe something needs to change where there are doors so people can have some privacy. I'm certainly not a prude, my kids come in and talk to me and my DH while showering i just don't feel comfortable for it to happen around a complete stranger that's all.

I would definitley call the school. It's very sad, but in this day & age (I feel like my mother saying that!), that our society is not a safe place. Especially change rooms at public facilities.
Was he an older man? Cos I have to admit, I have had my fair of 'Hello Grandma' in the changerooms of a gym/public pool where you take your kids to the loo & there is a grandma there completely starkers & not at all shy about it!
Totally not my cuppa tea, but for some reason the older people have no issue with nakedness in public changerooms???
Definitely call the school, your DS was NOT comfortable with it so I would be addressing it with the school. A teacher in the changerooms with them is a great idea - just to make them feel 'safe'.

It is a sad day that we need to be wary of these things with our children.
It may be totally innocent, but how do you or I know that?
As parents it's our job to protect our children, if something concerns us we should follow up on it, because if we don't and something bad happens as a result we'd never forgive ourselves.

The solution could be as easy as making sure a teacher is in the change rooms with the kids. It doesn't have to be a big deal with accusations, it's just about ensuring the safety of our children.

My thought when I read this was not that there was necessarily anything funny about that man in particular - just that it suggested supervision was a bit lax, and the opportunity for something unpleasant to take place might be there at some other time, ITMS. I would think that as a matter of course the school would not want students sharing a changeroom with naked strangers.

Jayne & Fleur thats might thoughts exactly, unfortunately the school would be lucky to have one male teachers within the whole school, one of the deputy's is male but i think thats it. I definately think that something needs happen where children can walk into a changeroom and feel comfortable though whether it has been the norm or not.
