DD would not take one at all, 6 different types and just refused. But this week she decided she wanted to suck one and I think it is because she has a cold and her ears hurt.
For me I just want her to stop screaming and I don't want her to be on my boob 24hrs a day. But now she finally has taken one I don't want her to have it! LOL. I want her to go to bed without sucking...
DD liked the dummy but only to sleep - but the dummy fairies collected it one night and DD didn't even mind!
DS was not a fan.
DD2 is a comfort sucker - but only 40% of the time !
We used one briefly with DS as he had reflux adn it's supposed to help. He rejected it once things settled down a bit. DD absolutely refused when I tried, so has never had one. I only tried in a vain attempt to help her sleep more. She doesn't seem to need as much breast time as DS did and is happy sucking on her fingers (or anything else in reach)
Ds was FF and loved it since the bottle at 5 days old still does am finding it hard to get rid of
DD took one for comfort sucking but now at 6 months will hardly take it just chews it now hope it stays that way even though my nipples get a tad sore at night
