    HELP dinner party tomorrow night!

I will be busy doing home renovations for most of tomorrow, so I am planning on making a yummy but quick dinner. So a few cheats here & there, how does the following sound:

Chicken Kiev's (bought not homemade) OR chicken roll roast, either one topped with a white wine sauce - (would this suit kievs?) served with creamy polenta & green beans.

However my main dilemma is I want to make a soup for entree in my slow cooker, can anyone recommend a soup that would go nicely with the main?

At least I dont have to think about desert as the guests are bringing it hehe!

The only soup I can make in the slow cooker is pumpkin lol.
What about a leek and chickpea soup or a leek and potato soup - I've got a bit of a thing for leek at the moment.
Creamy mushroom soup is yummy but it looks kind of unattractive.

I've got a yummy recipe for Thai pumpkin soup that you might like to consider if you decide to go with pumpkin.

Pumpkin sounds tempting, but I think I will go Leek & Potato soup, good suggestion. Thanks for the help ladies!
