$1000. Doesn't sound like a lot but apparently it's the biggest fine animal welfare can give. And it's only a small business so it should hurt enough to make them rethink their ways.

My goodness. Reading this made me cry!!!!!!! I am so so glad the stupid groomer got fined and hopefully getting the word out will put her out of business!!!!

Not a lot happened legally. Just the fine and charge from animal welfare. But Purina groomquest have sponsored a 'Buddy' award that mum will give out each year at the national grooming competition. Buddy being her dogs name. So she's pretty chuffed with that but still having a hard time dealing with losing her dog and feeling responsible etc. Thanks for following up
