Try putting a ticking clock in her bed and see if that works. I had a cat that used to do that too and i used to feed her and she would be ok. She also might have a tummy ache. my kitty had the runs and it made or really sooky and the vet said that what i was feeding her was too rich for her little tummy. Hope things get better. Cats are great companions and I wish i still had mine. I miss them all the time. The things we do for boys.
she has special kitten food so i dont think its that....although she does (*TMI*) have stinky farts!!! she has finally stopped crying now!!! iil try the clock tonight!! thanks DP loves her....when shes not screaming and waking him up!!
Hiya - Sorry to hear that you have kitty troubles. If she is sleeping through the night and has plenty of toys then I would be inclined to think along the same lines as Kylza. She might not be feeling quite right in the tummy. Do you know what she was being feed before you took her? It's just that young kittens digestive systems don't take very well to having their food changed dramatically. By that I mean if she was on premium dry kitten food and has be quickly switched over to tinned stuff that might be a cause. Are her poo's solid or does she struggle to poo? I'm personally a big believer in not feeding cats tinned food at all.
The other thing is that they need your human contact for little active plays with them throughout the day. 4.30am is when she is (unfortunately) waking up and she needs to be feed, taken outside for a wee and then stimulated by someone for a while. (Normally she'd play with the others in her litter) Playing with her will get her all tired again and she might go back for another sleep.
The ticking clock as a good idea, as was already suggest by another poster and also put a radio with her so she has some noise.

thanks, she was eating leftovers from the peoples food when we picked her up...so anything and everything, in my opinion that isnt right for a baby kitty!! she has those little pouches of kitten food and a hand full of dry food 2/3 times a day. DP wants to stick her in the shed tonight but i managed to pursuade him to let me try a few other things for the next few days first. he just has a more country attitude towards pets...working animals etc and i think a fussy cat is a bit much for him to deal with!! i tried to tell him uts the same as DD but he just laughed at me
she seems to go to tha bathroom ok...solid and once a day. if it carries on for long i might pop her to the vets though.
i have always had cats in the uk...and multiple cats at that...five at one point so i guess they just kind of entertained each other so i never had this problem before!
Aww hun, i agree with the ticking clock, might remind her of mummy's heart beat and sooth her a bit, if she's climbing things when she is outside can you maybe buy or make a scratching post?
My dad made one by nailing together some bits of food (different levels making platforms) that had been covered with carpet, he hangs a bell off 1 platform and a little kitty ball off the other.
Maybe she is an early riser and just wants more entertainment?
