We have been dog sitting for a friend for the last few days and this evening, just before the other dog was about to be picked up she snapped and lashed out at our dog, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck (they are both Greyhounds).

DP had to almost strangle her to get her to let go and our poor old boy sustained some massive punctures to his neck. He was taken off to hospital where he is now sedated, awaiting surgery tomorrow I am hoping he will come through all ok as he is 10yo and the punctures were quite near some major arteries.
