Everyone has already said everything I would say.

We have a short haired BC and he is great. He is a working dog though, but when he is not around animals he is a great family dog.

My biggest rule with puppies is to never let them use you as a chew toy, no play grabbing or biting or anything like that. Only with toys.
Also, I usually do this with older dogs but if you or DH have an old shirt you can wear it for the day and then add it to her bed when she arrives that way she gets aquianted with your smell. Remember too, that whatever you want your dog to do as it gets older needs to be started now, so if you want her sleeping in a particular spot you should start it straight away. I know it can be hard to resist their cries. Puppy preschool is always a great start and keep her away from other dogs until atleast a couple of weeks after her last vaccination.
She is a real cutie. You going to have so much fun.
