Oh hun, it's always difficult when a pet comes to the end of their life. But I'm sure they have had a fantastic life with you, and I'm sure you know that it's always better to have them put to sleep before they start suffering too much, I'm sure your doggy knows and appreciates that you guys will do what is right for him.

Well he has gone in the car to the vet now! i said my goodbyes in case he dosent come home! a part of me so wants him to come home but than another part thinks maybe its best for him if he doesnt - not sure how he will handle the winter with his artheritis etc...

okay yay!!! Gus is home - however have been told that next time when his drugs run out he won't be comming home - his dosage has doubled and its now every night - he is also on some other drug every night aswell.
When the drugs run out everything will be increased again and he will need monthly injections - so the vet said being winter (when the drugs should run out) it would most likely be best for him if we didnt bring him home!
