How do I get rid of the cat pee smell???

So ladies I really need to organise my hospital bags (I'm 35wks soon )!

Problem is, when I moved house, my darling feline (she is not called Mischief for nothing!!) got angry at us making her move house again and took her revenge by spraying on my mini suitcase and on DH's scuba diving bag.

DH isn't too concerned about the dive bag as it gets wet frequently so he's just been hosing it down... eventually all the salty dive gear and smelly wetsuits he throws in it will overpower the smell... but my little case we have tried washing and it still stinks.

So now I need some hints, tips and tricks on how to remove the smell!

This is the bag I want to use to take to hospital! It also matches my big suitcase and one other bag and its out of stock now so I can't take the easy option and buy a replacement.

How can I get rid of the smell????

Bi Carb!!! Sprinkle bi carb all over it, leave it for a day or so and vaccuum. and if that doesn't help get some carpet deodoriser.

There is also a product called "Urine Off" which takes the smell away. Know how you feel...DF left my car window down a crack while he was at a mates place for a few hours one evening- a disgusting tom cat decided to crawl in and pee on the drivers seat....it smelt absolutely horrible...

Thanks ladies!! Will try bi-carb, have that at home I think. Otherwise its off for some carpet deoderiser or "urine off"!

Hope you got the smell out of your car, SS! That's revolting!

Yeah eventually we did, it took a good few months though, and if it was a hot day and the car was left in the sun with the windows up you could still smell a faint whiff of it! That car was smashed (not my fault...crazy Qld driver in a Victorian car!) and written off a few months ago, so don't have to worry about it anymore!

Cat pee has to be one of the worst smells to get rid of...
