Keike I just love ****er spaniels, try are a medium sized dog and they don't shed. Like all spaniels they are devoted companions and absolutely live their mums and dads. Ours will literally follow me from the living room to the kitchen and back again even if I am only gone for a second. Totally lovely. A bit silly tho at times. Maybe a smaller spaniel like a king Charles could work if you want the smaller size. They also have lovely personalities. Good luck
