hugs hun- definately try the local pounds, local vets and also try anywhere that community groups meet- esp elderly people as they always notice something like a stray dog.
Our dog went missing whilst my mum was watching her whilst we were on holidays. She was missing for 5 days!
We put posters up everywhere and drove the streets asking anyone we saw. we got some positive sightings by talking to people so we knew she was around still!!
In the end a person rang us at 10pm one night to say that they had seen her running down a court in the suburb where she went missing. She had recognised her from a poster we had put at a bus stop and she went back to the bus stop to get our phone number!!! btw we put pull off pieces of paper on the bottom of the notice so she ripped one off!
We drove there as quick as we could and cornered her and got her!!!!!
She was tired, scared and hungry but she was OK!!!
we were soo lucky and i reckon if we hadnt been proactive in trying to find her, we wouldnt have found her!
btw she hasnt tried to escape since !!!
good luck hun and i hope you are as lucky as we were!!!
