    Unhappy Our poor cat .

Keeley our 4 yr old cat, has been missing for about 2 weeks and yesterday DH went into his workshop under the house and heard her crying. She had somehow dragged herself home from wherever she was but she was in a terrible state. We thought she had been hit by a car (our other cat was killed outside our house 4 weeks ago) We rushed her to the emergency vet hospital who were lovely and so kind to me when I lost it. Her flea collar and caught up around one leg (we cut it off as soon as we got her out from under the house) and she is dehydrated and malnourished and has a wound from the collar where it was cutting off circulation and had cut into her skin. ATM she is on a drip and pain meds and they will be deciding what to do next today. The vet was impressed at her tenacity and determination to get home.
Its funny I always thought I would be one of those people who wouldn't pay huge vet bills for "just a pet" but when it came to the crunch I just want her well and if we don't eat for a few weeks so be it.
The whole family is pretty shaken up especially DD1 cause she is largely her cat, please pray she gets well and can come home where she will now be a full time inside cat.

Oh no, poor Keeley . The poor little darling, how amazing that she made her way home. I'm praying she makes a quick recovery and will be home with you really soon .

She sounds like quite a surviver

my thoughts with her & you - my dog had that same spirit and survived many things - you must be a great kitty mummy.

    omg'ness.. what a brave girl...

sending ALOT of love and healing vibes to her...

This is the exact reason our 5 cats are indoor/enclosure only cats..... i am horribly scared of something happening to them! It is so hard.... they become like our children.. afterall they are family!

So glad to hear your kitty is doing well. She will probably recover better at home with her loved ones surrounding her. I have an indoor ragdoll cat (Mia) and I would just be devastated if she were to get hurt. I have said a prayer for her and I hope she continues to improve
