I rang up to book our pups in for their vaccinations at our local vet, who is awesome but the price has gone up quite a bit. As money is a bit tight DH suggested to phone around and I found another Vet who can save us $60. I feel a bit bad changing Vets because he is very good but we really need to save where we can.
that is awsome!! it so nice when you can ring arround and get a better deal! i done that when we had to micro chip our dogs, lets say i got all 3 done for what one would have cost at the regular vets!!
Yaaaaah! Well done on finding a cheaper price, thats excellent. You know what, Im the same I would feel awful BUT allow me to say this.....The vet you usually see would be getting the vaccines at the same price and they are charging more, also they have every opportunity to match prices with other vets and choose not to. So gosh, dont feel bad. You did good
RSPCA is usually the cheapest for microchipping, and if you keep an eye out, city councils (well, at least in my area) run pet expo days where you can get your animals microchipped for $10. If you're near a vet uni, they also have very cheap clinics usually for the students to practice in - I saved $100 getting my dog desexed in the vet uni surgery.
We took our dogs in today, ours runs a 15% discount on shopper dockets, and DH forgot to give the discount coupon to the vet surgery I even got him to put it in his wallet so he wouldn't forget, the bill was $260, the discount would have been nice.
