Can't believe I missed this thread. If you still need a home for your cat I will take him for as long as you need. I also have a 9y.o cat, but she is pretty mellow, and we have enough hidey holes for both of them.

We will cover food etc, you won't have to worry. Let me know if you're interested. I would love to help- and understand how heartbreaking it would be if you couldn't keep him.
