The pill I'm on is a low dose pill and I've tried a few, this is the first to not make me feel nauseous. An example, DD has been sick over the past week and while I wasnt taking the pill I was so sympathetic towards her and got up at all hours. Last night after taking the second pill out of this cycle I turned into mad woman & got so frustrated at the poor thing waking up. I just feel its really changing my moods because normally I wouldnt think twice of getting angry at DD waking when she is sick iykwim. Maybe this is just a sign to stop taking it all together and make another baby lol

MadsMum, it's tricky hey. I had a good friend who turned into some sort of banshee when she went on the pill (went off it pretty quickly!).
I was on a low dose pill and it affected me quite a bit too (for me it was libido-wise though), though I didn't realise how much at the time.
So I'm not a fan really. Perhaps you will just have to suck it up and be diligent with the condoms?

MM yep I was a pill crazy too. For me, it was on a triphasic pill, I would turn the corner, take the new colour pill and within 24 hours I was a moody irrational cow. When I twigged I went back to the drs and she put me on a different pill - felt totally normal again.

I'm going off the pill in Jan 09 after nearly 9 years on Diane 35. Me thinks I will be a new woman!!!

Like you, I always feel great (apart from AF) during the week I don't take the pill and as soon as I am back on it, within 3-4 days I feel stressed and wound up again. I cannot WAIT to go off the pill!

After my horror night last night with my DD, the thought of making another baby has totally been erased from my mind

Last night I was thinking about it, seriously I think I'd better just come off the darn thing. Its not worth the anger I've been feeling, its ridiculous I cant believe it.

The only thing that makes me hesitant is, we are getting married next March and I'd love to be period free on my day. Afterwards we are off o/seas on a honeymoon as well so no period would be bl00dy excellent then too!!

We are going to Melb this week so I wont change anything yet, but at least that will give me serious thinking time. I just dont feel like its worth the anger and frustration I am showing towards my precious girl after taking it, I really feel like the worlds most awful mother today.

Well I guess you have to weigh up what's more important - do you want to be wound up on your big day and during your honeymoon or take the chance that AF might not show?

I would be coming off the pill if you are this worried about your moods. Maybe you could go to your GP and ask for a different one?

    Good luck in your decision.
