looking for playgroup in geelong

I have been searching for a playgroup in my area (highton) but have only found eveyone has a waiting list. does anyone know of a playgroup with vacancies or someone who is starting up a new one. my mothers group have all returned to work so i would love to find a group to socialise with and my 23month old toddler would definately enjoy playing with other kids!!!

Try the City of Greater Geelong, they may be able to give you some info on playgroups. Welcome to BB.

Try some of the churches in the area. Have you tried Playgroup Vic as they have a list of playgroups available in areas they are run.

I'm not sure if you're still looking but if you are our playgroup, Roslyn Playgroup, is near you.
We're a not-for-profit community playgroup.

You're right, at the moment we have waiting lists for all our morning groups (we run 5 days a week) but if afternoons suit you there's a toddler group on Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 that has some places. The kids in that group are born in December 2009 & January 2010, so they're very close to your toddler's age. You're very welcome to do a free trial to see what you think.

Otherwise, I'd agree with the other replies to check for playgroup lists on the Playgroup Victoria or City of Greater Geelong websites.
