Exclamation Mother's Group/Play Groups in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne (PLEASE HELP!!!)

    Hi everyone

Well my partner, my 7 month old baby Layla and I have relocated to Melbourne from New Zealand, been here about 5 months now and I am finding it really tough. We hardly know anyone here and as I am a SAHM it has been impossible for me to make friends. My Maternal Health nurse has twice promised me she'd hook me up with a mother's group, and I have never heard anything back? As I don't know anyone, I have no idea what resources are available to me. We are staying in Campbellfield at the moment, close to Epping. Please help, I'm going mad! (And a little sad, it's a bit lonely!)

I know how you feel... we've been in Melb for a year now but it takes a while to build up a new group of friends.

This is a link from the Whittlesea council website about joining playgroups in your area. Let us know how you go.

I'm feeling the same! We moved to Melbourne a month before our son was born so I haven't really had any time to make any friends. Im about 10/20 minutes from Epping.

    Hi,
I have been in Vic all of my life. I have lived in Sunbury for 18 months now and we dont have any friends in Sunbury. My DD is 10 weeks old. Our MCHN too said she would hook us up with a mothers group but that hasn't happened. So if anyone wants please PM me as it would be good to meet new people.

Hi Layla's Mum, i am new to this and i just saw your message and was wondering how you went with finding a mother's group. I live in Mill Park and have a nine week old and have only just receieved an invite from my Maternal Health Nurse for a mother's Group. If you still haven't had any luck, i'd be happy to give you her number and come to this new group if you like. My email address is tmsoutt@optusnet.com.au if you are interested.
