Mothers Groups - Brisbane's Northside??

Hello, how is everyone?!

I am (soon to be) a first time mum and looking for, or would like to start, a Mother's Group on the Brissy's North. Our bub is due late September, and I would love to get to know other Mums and Mums-To-Be nearby for coffee, idle chit chat and play time for the kiddies!

My DH and I have recently moved back to Brisbane, and are new to the Bracken Ridge area.

If anyone knows of a group, or if other ladies are in the same boat, I would love to hear from you!

Once I am settled in, I am happy to have everyone around (although it may be a bit boring for a two year old). Otherwise, we can find a nice park.

We move into our house in 2 weeks also, so a park would probably suit best at first til we get the boxes unpacked (not fun in third trimester!)
I won't have a bub to bring along just yet (due late Sep), but it would be nice to start meeting anyway.
What nice parks are close by to all of us?

i've been looking for a mother's group myself. we live at cashmere, next to strathpine and i have a 9mths old son. u r all most welcome to come to our place for mother's group. only thing is that i'm only free on fris. hope it's ok for all of u.

Pine Rivers Park at Bald Hills alwasy seems quite popular (lots of play equipment) or we can meet at the Redcliffe Lagoon once the weather starts warming up ..........

And thanks for the offer to hold Mum's Groups at your place. I'm happy with that, or the park at Bald Hills. Both sound like a great plan. What does everyone else think? We'll take a virtual vote

we could always meet at pine rivers park at bald hills for a couple of weeks till everyone is comfortable with one another before meeting at my place or anyone's place. what do u think? i will be free from mid sept onwards as i have relatives visiting from overseas who will be staying with us for a month. can't wait to meet.

I'm happy with either location. My best days will be Mon, Tues & Thurs morning as I will be working the other days. (or sats/sun). I could meet the occasional Friday but only about once a month.

I'm available pretty much any day during the week as I'm not working at the moment, but mornings would suit me best.

unfortunately i work mons to weds and on thurs ben and i attend another playgroup. well if everyone is free on thurs then what i will do is attend every alternate thurs. mornings or afternoons are good for ben and i.

i did my ante natel classes in chermside in may/june/july but i went back to south australia to have my baby and i would like to try and catch up with the couples if i can....

I am new to belly belly and saw your message about a mothers group. I was just wondering how you went with getting one started. I had a baby boy in July and am just looking now to join some other mums with bubs around the same age. Can you help me? I live near Chermside
