I am new to this forum but am really keen to meet some other mothers in Brisbane. I am a soon to be mum (32 weeks) but have finished work already and would like to start networking. Is it OK for me to come as well? Is the venue still Bulimba Park on Oxford St?
Another question I have is, would it be possible to bring my dog with me? He is very placid and child friendly and I want to make sure he is as involved in family life after the baby, as he is now.

He is already child proofed so no need for anyone to worry about that, but I just want to get into a good routine while I am not also struggling with a little furless one. He used to come to work with me and now that I have finished, I think he feels a little housebound (like his mother!).
I will make sure everyone is happy with him coming before definitely bringing him, but thanks for your support! I am so looking forward to meeting up with everyone.

krysal, it's fine with me that your puppy comes, my DD loves dogs, mind you she is only 8 months but just loves them. We are meeting at 2pm, I'm taking care of the food so such bring something to drink or you can pick something up when you get there, yourself, bubbas :) and your puppy if everyone else doesn't mind of course.
My little girl is unwell at the moment, we think its here damm teeth again, I'm hoping she will be feeling better by monday, I hate it when she is sick.:cry:

Hi everyone,
Just checking in about tomorrow. Just so we all know who is who, I was thinking about wearing a white cowgirl/wide brimed hat, so you all know who I am. I will also have a stroller, and some food, so I should stand out. But if there aren't many people at the park, I'm dishing the hat;)
There could be a chance that I might be a few minutes late, as DH and I share a car and I might have to drop him off at work, but that is still not confirmed.
Can't wait to meet you all tomorrow. :D

I am going to have to give today a miss... We are in the process of looking for a house as we have my best mate coming to live with us and nanny Jacob and the MOST AWESOME house has come up but its first in first served at the moment... he reckons they have had HEAPS of enquiry too!! And just to add to it, it is further north than where I am now.
I also was very worried about getting caugt in peak hour traffic on the way home... my only route options were up the gateway and gympie road and they are both mayhem as at 4pm!! But next time I will definalty make it down that way if its in the early part of the day.
Im sooooo sorry guys... take some pictures or something, so then I can feel like I met you all!! :)

Only 2 of us turned up the other week:( , and there hasn't been much going on since then. But if you are keen to catch up, I'm up for it, my little girl just turned 9 months. I'm easy on where we could meet, shopping centre, park either house, just let me know.

TomsMummy, I live at New Farm, and Tuesdays is fine with me, my little girl normally has two sleeps first around 7-9 and second around 12-2, but could put her out for one day if around 10 or 3 doesn't suit for everyone.

^ Yep ok for me. I haven't got much on next week so any day really. Will have the toddler in tow though on Thu and Fri as DH works those days.

I might join in one day! I can't make tomorrow though as I have my Mother's Group (from another forum). We meet every 2nd Friday.
I'm on the north-west side of town and Cooper is 7.5 months old.
I cant make tomorrow as I am going to visit my SIL in Coolum for the day... but any other day in the mornings next week would be AWESOME :)
3 weeks to go till full time work resumes :cry:
I can't make it today either but Tuesday, Wed or Fri morning next week are good for me.
