Mums in the Central Brisbane area

Wednesday is out for us. But friday morning is good for us and I know AliVB can't make tuesday mornings. So what about friday morning around 10, 10:30 does that suit everyone?

Friday morning could be good. I'll just have to check a bit closer, i may have my nephew which would be a handful. Not 100% sure yet.

Friday 16th? I'm free. Where will we meet?

Does someone want to choose. I'm limited to how much travelling I can do in the car at the moment, will explain later. But I didn't really like the park we went to last time. Maybe New Farm park, or south bank or some other park, I'm way open for ideas.

God I hope it isn't as hot as it is today!! Eek.
I'd like to try Newfarm park, but it's a big park and I'm not very familiar with it so I couldn't really suggest a specific place. Anyone?

How about south bank... its nice and central... there is food, drink, play grounds for little ones... train line goes right too it also if there is anyone near a train....
But I am happy to go where ever... just not too far south.... If i dont have to pay toll I am super happy :)

How much is parking at Southbank though? Exxy?

I don't mind New Farm Park. We could always use the Rotunda as a meeting point and go from there.

I'll give some thought to other places.

New farm park sounds good. Theres lots of shady areas etc. And free parking!! :clap:

New Farm Park yeah? Around 10-10:30ish? Where do we want to meet, I only live around the corner, but have never been to the park:rolleyes: . Does anyone know of a common place to meet? Hubby said that the entrance is on Brunswick St, but parking is on Sydney Street, how about a shady place or between the two, so we should be able to find each other then, well maybe. I don't think the park should be too crowded on a friday morning. Do we just want to take our own nibblies or have someone bring them again? Might be easy to supply our own and drinks what does everyone think?

I think i've parked on sydney street is that near the fish and chip shop?? We could meet near there, i'm not too sure where the play area is though. Or do we just want a grass area in the shade?? And i think it's easier if everyone brings there own food etc.

Can you guys just confirm for me..... do i follow brunswick street through the valley right up to the end and when it comes to sydney street pretty much just try and find a park???

Cool. Bummer about going back to work, strangly enough I'm looking forward going back for the 9 days I have to in May. I just miss the social side of my work. I used to work in a big company, with lots of staff that I used to get along with very well. I don't miss the work however:rolleyes:

Yeah I am the same... in a big company .. superannuation actually :) my contract "obligation" is that I go back full time for starters.... dont think they are very part time friendly so will look at moving on sooner rather than later...

It was great to meet you all. Even though it was Cooper's nap time when we were on our way to the park (and he slept in the car) he fell asleep again on the way home and then even let me put him to bed where he is still asleep now (so 1.5 hours now). Wow!

Wow poor little guy must have been tired. It was great to meet you, I hope we can all meet up again.

Was a good morning, Cooper sleep in the car then at home. He got a rash on his face and around his ear i think it was from the grass?? Will have to keep and eye on it.:(

Poor Bugger, I hope he is fine.:(

Poor Cooper. I kept checking my Cooper for rashes from the grass but couldn't see anything.

Congrats on the birth of your little boy Krystal. We haven't had a meet up for awhile now. But I'm keen to meet up with you even if it's not another group thing. There is another mum from the group that I meet up with now and again, who I'm sure would love to meet up with you too. We have been meeting in parks, but what would suit you best with the little guy?

Parks are good for me so I can bring my puppy too. the best days for me tend to be tues/wed.
