Need to meet new people

Hiya All,

I am new to this site so please bear with me. My name is Emma, I'm 26 & have a 2 year old boy called Max. I am originally from England & have only been in Oz for 6 months & I'm finding it really tough to meet new people & make new friends. My hubby & I lived in Shailer park for the first 3 months & we moved down to Merrimac in November & we're loving it, however hubby starts work soon & I know It's going to be really tough as I haven't got Max into any childcare at present.
I'm a stay at home mummy & haven't managed to make any friends so far so we're starting to feel really isolated with no family or friends here in Australia.
I'm looking to meet other mums at playgroups etc but have no idea where to start. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
