My other kidlets are 5 and a half and 4 years old

I would REALLY like to go through a midwife clinic, but this high blood pressure and last preg being high risk because of it, I don't know if I will be alloawed.

I really don't like too much intervention, had lots of it both times and I don't feel it helped. I would like NOT to be on a bed this time

    Hi everyone

MrsMc - I have gone through midwife clinic twice at Calvary and have had wonderful experiences - my last the best - but I also had a doula, fantastic midwives on (lucky for me), a good ob on duty and knew exactly what I wanted etc.

With your medical history - they still might take you on, but have you reviewed more frequently by Ob, or shared care seeing your GP every two weeks or something like that. Ring the clinic and ask to speak to Cathy - she is the head midwife at the clinic and is fabulous.

    I am in Gungahlin too

Hope you can make 24/03 - next Tuesday meet up - we can chat about it more then.

Nothing much happening here - Zander will be 6 months old next week and I am already sad about my last baby growing up lol -pathetic hey.

    Will continue to check in

Mrsmac, I went threw the midwife clinic and with my first to had pre e/ high bp and all they did was I saw the ob who was on each time I had an appointment (so different one just about each time) and the head honchoe called in when necessary and they were great, both my first were induced early due to my pre e. So you def can go there. You will be under your gp till afound 14 weeks from memory.

Chepie - The first time I ever had a night without Jelly, I was eight months pg with Nate and she was about 21mths. This was partly because I feel a little lost without my 'kids' around me all the time (even though they are exhausting) and partly because I find it really hard to ask for help off anyone, even if it is just babysitting for a night. It really is worth doing it occaisionally though - even if I do spend the entire time annoying DH, going on about how much I miss the kids.

I look forward to seeing everyone next tuesday, and meeting those I haven't met yet. Do we need a sign so you know who we are???
