    Hi Everyone,

To the new girls Ive just turned 31 and have two boys Zander and Wyatt, we moved here for my husbands work at easter time and dont have any family here and the only people I know are through this website!! It gets stressfull and sometimes I just want to pack it all up and go back to where my parents and all the help is!!

We wont be going anywhere tomorrow...will just spend the day at home..try and do something next thurs. Wyatt is still waking at night he seems to be in a routine of 1am/4am and 530am waking. He is not taking to the bottle or formula very well and will only eat rice cereal..he gags on potato/apple/pears etc....very high maintenance. Zander loves daycare and seems to be in terrible 2's mode already including bad tantrums.

I have enjoyed the rain..only downside is having to use the dryer!!! anyway take care everyone.....bye for now

Yeah, we;re staying in, how awesome is the rain? wow, ive been on this site alot lately.... maybe im starting to get abit of free time haha, glad your in a routine of sorts, brodie wakes at the same times, 1am, 4.30am and then up at about 5.30am. Sometimes he'll skip 1am but always up at half 5 am, usually I put him in bed with me til about 7am, he just babbles and stuff but its to early and im still way to tired hahaa..
Ive been having moments because my nanna is really sick and is in deep dementia from multiple strokes and bens family came and visited then his sister came up and it really makes you miss home. Guess thats where this site can be handy, meeting people in similar situations.
well i have a 8month old boy who is very grizzly and needs to go to bed but im trying to make him hang out til at least 7!
enjoy the rain!! i saw some kids playing in it today and thought if i had the time and energy would have gone out with my two eldest ones.
    take care

Welcome to Tanya! Did you come over from Huggies??? I am Sara. 24 y/o mum to Briley (2) and Colby (almost 1). Hope you like it here hun. We are a lovely bunch of women!

I will be at the Musuem tomorrow. Looking forward to it though I will probably get lost getting there. I am so bad at directions.

Tanya, I am sure you will do great for your P's. Agree with Emma that parallel parking is a pain. I still can't do it properly.

Emma, DS means darling son, DP is darling husband, DP is darling partner and DS is darling daughter.

Better go. I think something has died in Cooper's nappy.

    Wink Hi!

    Hi Guys!

My names Ruby and I'm 21 years old, I have a 13 mth old boy named Nicholas and we are currently living in Mount Isa, but my partner just got a job in Townsville so we will be moving there in the next month and I was trying to find a playgroup or mothers group we could join?!

Also, I've been looking at houses, is there any T'ville suburbs that I should avoid?

Hi Ruby. I don't know Townsville all that well as we moved here in December so I can't help there unfortunately. We will definitely have to organise a meet when you arrive!

    Ruby,
It really depends on what 'streets' to avoid, generally all suburbs are ok bar some streets in Vincent, Rassmussen & Kelso are a bit dodgy. But you'll be able to tell when you get here. We live in Kirwan and it's pretty ok. I think you take a chance anywhere in this day and age. Do you have a dog? (Big, furious, drooling?) lol.
Will def have to organise a big 'yummy-mummy's doin' the park' meet up when you arrive!
CourtRAch -any movement at the station??

Ruby - I went the other way. After living in Townsville for very close to 20 years I moved to Cloncurry when my partner got a job out here.
As MissWingBat said - its more the streets in certain suburbs that you need to avoid. And certain parts of certain suburbs are a bit scarier than others! I do agree about Kelso and Rasmussen and some certain streets in Vincent but also some streets in Heatley are good to avoid. Some suburbs are much pricier than others and I really can't see justification in some of them. But - have fun and enjoy Townsville.

MissWingBat, still no movement other than using me as a climbing frame. Have a hospital appointment on the 14th so hopefully will get an induction date as I am so over it and this little one is not coming of its own accord. Just like his/her big brother!!

Thanks ladies. Cooper has been a little whingy today but is still so gentle with Adam. He has even started kissing him. It is so cute!!

Adam is an absolute gem (so far!). All he seems to do is eat, sleep, poop and pee. We don't have a lot of awake times at present and when we do have an awake time, a quick cuddle sends him to sleep. Wonder how long this will last.

Hi Jasmin. Welcome to BB. I live in Douglas so not far from you.

I will give a meeting this week a miss for obvious reasons but will see how we go next week.
