    Hi Everyone,

Courtney....maybe Adam has wind or reflux in between feeds that could cause crying??? try keeping him upright afterwards,or he could be over tired???. Do you have a day/night time routine for bed.....The only way Wyatt starting sleeping long at night was getting the right routine sorted...but it took 8 months!!! Its still early days so try not to stress too much coz babies can pick up on your vibes..just hang in there

Thanks Nicola. i am not stressed too much as I figure it is just a phase but it is limiting my time with Cooper. Cooper doesn't seem to upset by it yet other than to say "Adam noisy" but I would like to be able to play with Cooper while Adam watches without the screaming.

I don't think it is wind as Adam could shame a grown man with the burps he comes up with and I don't think he has reflux as it has only happened in the last week or so.

We do have a routine for bed for Cooper and am trying with Adam. Maybe I should be stricter with the routine as Adam's is a bit stop/start as I do it around Cooper. Hmm, there's a thought.

    Hi Girls!!!

Telstra decided to be quick and connect me a day early, :woot:!!!

It was awesome meeting you all!! I am loving that I can do all my washing in one day and have it all dry at the same time!!!

Our house is awesome, piles of things to find homes for by thursday for a buyers inspection but oh well.

So when is the next meet and where? Lollipops is 2 minutes drive from here if we dont have much traffic at the roundabouts!!

Ali, glad to hear you are all settled in!! Sounds like you love your house!! That is great!! I would love to move to a new house haha!! No, our house is OK, just need to finish ding some things, but finding time is always an issue!

I am not sure whether I will make a meet this week. Am working this arve, and waiting for an electrician to get back to me whether he will be coming Thurs or Fri...so I will have to be round when he is here. Then I am working sat, so my week is pretty much gone!!

Anyway, I better go hang out my washing. Have no uniform to wear to work, I hope it dries in time!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the school holidays!!

    Hi Nicola
I saw in one of your messages that there is a new Montessori School opening in Townsville. Could i please grab the information on it please. Im new to Townsville and would love my daughter Indiana (3) to attend. Sorry for butting in on your message. Im not too sure on how this website works yet.
    Thank you so much

    Hey girls,
Thought it be best to put this in here. I'm looking for some nice accommodation for DH & I to stay in, when we head to Townsville in November. Doesn't really matter where it is as we'll have our car. Anyone know a good place? $$ doesn't really matter either.
    Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

I've been a 'lurker' on BB for some time now, however you will see from my post count that I'm a bit slack at actually becoming involved in threads!

I thought I'd 'bite the bullet' and introduce myself in here. I'm living in Townsville, although am originally from the Gold Coast where we've left all of our family and friends. I have a 2 year old DD and another bub due to arrive in about 3 1/2 weeks.

I would love to get to know some other Townsville parents as I'm feeling a bit isolated.

    Michelle.

Ali - my kids are in Premier Early Learing Centre on Geaney lane in Deeragun which is just a bit north of Mt Louisa up Bruce Highway. Like literally minutes from you. They are fabulous and should have vacancies! Let me know if you want their #.

Jodi - Quest is nice but its in city and parking is a pain. Some other suggestions:

Seagulls on the Strand - around 136/night
Mecure on Wool**** St - around 105/night

Rach, welcome to BB. Nicola will probably post the details in here for you so keep watching this thread. Oh, and feel free to contribute. We use it to chat to each other and organise meets as well. If you want to meet us, feel free to turn up. Just let us know so we can keep an eye out for you.

Jodi, I have only stayed in the Quest Apartments. They were lovely and self-contained but parking was a pain. They didn't have enough parking spaces for the apartments and we were there at a particularly busy time. Otherwise, I can't recommend any. Are you moving to Townsville or coming on holidays? Have you tried the wotif website for accommodation?

Ali, I checked out a few daycares and the only one that I liked was the Unicare one at JCU. However, I have noticed a few daycares that I couldn't get into as they were full are advertising vacancies now. To be honest, I hated all the ABC ones I looked at and wasn't that impressed with the Community Care ones either.
