Smile We are Moving to Townsville - help please

    Hi Everyone
My husband has finally had his job offer and starts work on the 27th April with me and my 3 little ones following hopefully very shortly after.

Hoping for a bit of help/advise from someone, my husband gets a car with his job and I was wondering what the public transport was like as it would be ideal if we didn't have to get another car for me, I do have twin boys 15 months old and still in pushchair and a very lazy 3 year old girl who goes on a buggy board, would the buses be ok with that, some of our local ones don't let you on unless you can fold up your puschaire - how very helpful - no wonder we are moving to Australia.

Looking forward to your replies, thank you
    Sarah

I havent used PT up here, because they don't come near my house (newish estate).

Probably your best bet is to find out where exactly you will be living and then have a look at the sunbus website for the timetables and maps. It has a dot com dot au on the address. You can also email the depot from the site to find out about the pram.

    Hi Alioops

Thanks for your reply, we have decided to buy a car, I can manage without one currently but everything is really close by and I can get away with walking, I rarely use public transport at all. I can't wait to get there now and start settling in and enjoying Townsville and enjoying some time with my daughter as she has already started preschool here (she was 3 last October), just waiting to sell our house then I'll be on my way )

Tan - Computer is about all I can do at the moment. I have a walking frame now until my pelvis is back to what it should be (so who knows ) and I am unlikely to have a VB, but my Ob doesnt want to do CS without written confirmation from the physio that I dont have the range of movement for a VB, so he will get that. I am hoping that it doesn't take too long to recover and my pelvis goes back to how it should be quickly so that I can go back to work quickly, I am getting a bit of cabin fever lately.

Ah no hun does not sound too good at all! You poor thing! But at least you can move around a little, but being stuck in the house and stuff must be very hard! Hopefully you do recover very quickly, when are you having bub? And hows the girls?
