kelly - that's a brilliant idea and have thought many times of starting something similar however i don't exactly have the most practical of places for kids - i'm in a townhouse with no grassed area or yard to speak of and my house is far too small even just for the three of us at home.....however i will keep the old brain ticking for ideas

Hey! Just wondering if anyone got anywhere with the playgroup ideas!! I would love to go to riverway but my DD has swimming thurs mornings - bummer!!

I am new to the forum side of things, and am only 27 wks pregnant. This might seem like a silly question but how old does the baby have to be before we can go to places like the Riverway playgroup and coffee mornings etc. I just want the interaction side and meeting other mums (being a first timer) whilst the baby is still young to stop me going insane at home.

shellbelle - i go to meetingd on a monday at maze mania across from castletown if you wanna join us - i'm headig out of town from tomorrow till next tuesday but i can let you know the details when i get back if you'd like or we could even start our own if you want

tvs_girl - my ds is only 4mths old and we just started at playgroup at the moment it's more for me to get out of the house but as michael gets older and starts to recognise the other kids and can play on his own it will benefit him too - you could even start now if you want just to get a feel for things and talk to other mums about there experiences - you can never know too much i say

Shell - There is another mums group going to Maize Mania on Mondays at 2.30pm if you wanted to join them. I have'nt decided wether to go or not yet but i can point you in the right direction of the ladies they are going if you like. I will probably go next monday if you'd like to meet me there. Just PM or email me if you want more info or want to organise things further.

Tsvgirl - Ofcourse you can join us hun. Its a great way to get some get advice and just to have a chat and get out of the house. There are even a couple of other pregnant ladies in the group aswell. I am actually a Doula for one, maybe 2, of the ladies who are due in April next year. As i said to Shell, just PM or email me if you'd like to organise to meet up. I will be going on Thursday down to Riverway if you'd like to join us.

Jody - I heard the Melb Cup function was nice. I saw a couple of pics of you with Neasa and Raquel. You looked lovely! I wish i could have made it but Briley would have run a mock and funds were an issues! I just sat at home at watched it on my own! Did'nt win though!! Did you??? Hope to see you there again next week.

sara - yeah we had a good time - nice to get dressed up for once and michael was soooo well behaved - pity you couldn't make it but i completely understand - i got a third place in one of the sweeps the watermark was hosting so that was alright - well i best dash have to be up at four to get to the airport - yay fun for me - hopefully i'll be back at playgroup on thursday next week - this week i was not well and i was suppose to go today but with packing and cleaning for the real estate i was wiped by 2.30 - have a great week and i'll catch up later

would love some adult talk but i have the MIL coming to town on wednesday for a week so i'm on house cleaning duty - it weird i feel like i have to make this extra effort when she comes to stay just to show her i can look after her baby boy (even though he is 24 now) - ah the things we do for our men...... which also means i'm going to miss thursdays meet up.....how does nest monday sound?

My MIL lives with us so i don't have that issue!!! I have a whole other world of issues! LOL!!!

I am new to the forum so let me introduce myself first,

I am turning 26 next month, have a lovely partner and 2 cute little boys. Tyran who turned 2 on 30st of december and Logan who turned 1 on the 5th of december. I migrated from Belgium 3 years ago (cause my partner is aussie) and live in townsville, well Mount Louisa precisely.

I really want to get to know new people and especially other mums so i was wondering if I could join the playgroup and monday meeting? Oh Pleasssseeee? I don't have a car though but I am taking the buss alot. I need to get out of the house lol

hey girls - i also go to a monday meet up in the afternoons if anyones interested - the next couple of weeks are a bit hectic witht he wedding and all but once all the fuss has died down i'd love to catch up

if anyone is interested in meeting on other days i'm more then up for it - the more time out of the house the better......
