Just letting you know that if there is a meet this week we won't be able to make it as Briley has been in hospital since Saturday night with a bad mouth infection. We were finally discharged thismorning and she is on the mend.
Really sorry! I was so looking forward to the meet to!

Welcome to the new girls i've been in townsville just on 18mths and the other mums around are fabulous and friendly (yes Sara that means you) and hope to meet you all in the next couple of weeks - i'm a littl elate in joining you for todays meet but if you are doing something next week please please please let me know - my 9mth old is a little terror atm so any chance to escape the house is a godsend

Have fun girls today, Lollipops is awesome, my 4 yr old is cranky we're not going now, she even brought me her socks before packed in a bag to take!
Lollipops was fantastic. Cooper didn't like to play on his own at first but he had so much fun once he got over the shy factor.
We thought the next outing could be at the Strand. There is play equipment near the waterpark which is shaded & fenced. Time agreed was 9am (so the kids wouldn't get to hot) on 1 May (next Thursday).

Yesterday was great, although I had a little pooping accident with brodie..... hehe. Lollipops was awesome i cant wait for the twins to be old enough to get in there!! Courtney is just a gem.. and nicola friendly as... which made the whole meeting new mums thing just fantastic. Id like to think we got on great and cant wait to keep catching up!! 9am at the playground near the waterpark.. looks the goods. Im looking forward to it!!
Did anyone else have prem babies? Or baby!!! I just found out.. well it finally just clicked ( im in a little denial about it I suppose) that my 6month old twins who were 6wks prem are technically 6wks behind in development, i was just wondering if anyone else with prem babes found that??

Hi everyone, Zander loved yesterday at Lollipops....he was in his element and spent nearly the whole time not interested in anything other than playing....I guess months of being stuck inside with me and his baby brother have made him restless. Im keen to go back there when everyone else is keen....its not overly cheap but worth it just to get out!!! Im looking forward to next week:)

It was a good time today. Cooper actually ventured away from me a bit more. Woohoo!! Zander is a powerhouse, always on the move. I don't know how Nicola does it other than he is so cute. He is a definite social butterfly, loves to meet people. It was great to meet Elise as well. Declan is so adorable.
Confirming Lollipops at 10am next Thursday (08/05/08). Cooper and I will be there, barring any unforseen incidents.

Great to see someone else turned up today..I thought it was going to be just me for awhile......yes Zander is a bit of a handfull at the moment but Im slowly learning. I will be at Lollipops next thurs if it means Zan gets to run around for a couple of hours and burn some of that excess energy off :cheer:

P.S. Went to the doctor and was sent to the hospital. Scared the cr@p out of my husband!! Anyway, no evidence of membrane rupture so took some swabs and I get the results early next week. Probably watery CM (thanks Sara, I hadn't thought of that so made me feel heaps better).
Nicola, the Huggies nappies were at Toys R Us and they were $31.99. Probably get them cheaper somewhere else.

I had a great time yesterday, the babies were quite good, i was glad i could put them in the play area for a bit. its hard to entertain 2 6month olds at the same time sometimes!!

just letting you know I may not make it tomorrow..depending on how the boys are..Wyatt is in a really bad sleeping pattern (or lack of) at the moment and I seem to have a million things to do all at once..just a bit flustered:wall: Court glad to hear that things seem to be ok - I ended up getting nappies at woolworths for $36 coz I didnt read this post earlier!!!!!! I might check tomorrow and see if there are any left at toys r us. anyways if I dont see you guys tomorrow have a great day :)

Nobody turned up but Cooper and I. He had a ball and even convinced me to go on the Tea Cups. I kept down lunch so was very impressed with myself (doesn't take much does it LOL!).

courtney, im sorry noone else turned up, thats a real shame, i couldnt make it as im not well at the moment and i dont know if ill be there this week either. It's going to be a slow process getting better and hubby is probably going back to work wed am, which i am not happy about as its going to make things incredibly harder.

Gosh guys, i was so hoping to catch up and meet you all, but it has been hell around here. We have all had gastro, then last wed I also decide it would be fun to break a bone in my hand... So my bubba is still vomiting so we are most likely not able to make it again this week. Hopefully one day though!!!
10am at Lollipops is fine with me.
Cooper had so much fun with me at his beck and call for the entire visit. He thought at belly-flopping into the ball pit was a great idea and mum pushing the car around was even better. He was so tired at the end though so we had a fantastic nap when we got home.

I thought I would just let you know that the girls will be in care on Thursdays now so we probably won't be to any of the Thursday meets anymore. I am really sorry about that but it was the only other day that was available at the kindy. I am happy to meet on Wednesdays if anyone is available.
I might still pop in for a visit and a chat while the girls are in kindy!
Also, Briley's 2'nd birthday is coming up in June and I was thinking about having a little birthday party with some other mums down at the gated park on the Strand if anyone else is interested to come. Just let me know and I will PM you the details.
Emma - Sorry to hear your still not feeling to well. I hope the meds kick in soon and your back to your normal self.
Courtney - Sorry that no-one turned up lastweek. I've been pretty swamped with uni stuff lately so I have been trying to get into that. Cooper sounds so cute. Glad that you both had a good time last week though.
Shell - Ouchie!!! How did you manage to break a bone??? I heard that gastro bug was going around in town. I caught it but it was'nt that bad. Sometimes makes me wonder why I go into town! We always seem to come home with something!
Nicola - How's the boys??? All back into their routine?? Briley is just starting to sleep through some nights and now Colby is starting to teeth she wakes up heaps at night time! We had a shocker of a night lastnight. Brent end up having to sleep in the lounge so both girls could be in our bed!
Well I hope you all have a great day tomorrow! I am looking forward to a day chilling at home without the girls. I got SOOOO much done when they went last Tuesday! It was great! House was sparkling.
