I don't come in here very often but just wanted to let you ladies know - in case anyone is waiting on anything that bubs baby shop on Dalrymple is closed and has gone under administration (ie will more than likely be liquidation) as of a couple of days ago. I hope none of you have been caught as I have (or worse) with purchases outstanding. If you have there are administrators details available but they didn't sound too promising when I spoke with them yesterday.
Thanks Jaspen. I was thinking of going there to look at some stuff for the new bubs. Will avoid it now. Hope you didn't lose a lot of money. Bummer!! Oh, you are due 4 days before me. Cool!!
Looking at Sara's suggestion of moving the day we meet, any preferences? Unfortunately I can't do Wednesday as Cooper and I have playgroup. Any other day is fine though.
Emma - how are you feeling? I hope you're getting better fast. Must be very hard with the kids and DH away at work.
Hi thanks for the info about Bubs. Luckily I haven't got anything ordered there - phew.
Anyday is good for us to catch up except for Tuesday arvos when we have mothers group for little bubs. I guess it will be a majority rules for best day.

Thanks for the info Jaspen. I wonder what happened??? Could it have been the high prices they were charging??? Sorry that you lost out on it though. Fingers crossed you can get you money back! So, how did yesterday go????
Please don't change the meet up day on account of me. If Thursdays are fine with everyone stick with it. Just because I don't have the girls does'nt mean I can't come along on my own for a coffee to 2 once in a while. In saying that, Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays are fine with us. I am happy either way girls.
Well my house looks like its been hit by a cyclone (god knows how when I clean everyday!) so I best get up and make a start at it.
BTW - I am starting to beginners yoga and pilates course next Tuesday if anyone is interested in coming along with me. The yoga class starts at 5.45pm - 7.00pm. And then the pilates class starts at 7.15pm to 8.15pm every tuesday evening. The classes are held at Hermit Park Suburban Bowls Club (Behind KFC on Charters Towers Road).
I am happy to go along but would just put it out there for anyone who was interested.

Hi everyone, Im ok for anyday of the week to meet up. Thats bad about the bubs shop The ones in Brisbane are really good..thats where I got my twin pram..maybe they wernt part of the same franchise or someone was doing the dodgy with the accounts. I was thinking of going there soon. We are going to the welcoming the babies ceremony in queens gardens this afternoon..the boys get a certificate and a tree to plant.
SARA - Yoga/pilates thing sounds good I would be interested in doing something like that and its just down the road from me. How much is it???
also can someone tell me how you get those tickers that go at the bottom of the page...like sara's one? are they free
I'm pretty sure they are free. Sara's came from Home - Bump and Beyond by the looks of it. There are other websites as well. Just check out the tickers in other peoples signatures as they have a website listed (usually). I think once you have created one, you copy and paste it into your signature.

Not sure. I think I might give tomorrow a miss though as I am coming down with a cold and feeling like death warmed over. Cooper is also very whingy so maybe he is getting sick as well. Oh joy!
Sorry you arnt feeling well courtney..its that time of year again...Me, Adam and Zander are getting the flu jab on friday, I got the flu really bad last year when I was pregnant with Wyatt and I thought I was going to die, there is no way Im going to risk being that sick again with two boys to look after and no family around to help out.
Anyways if no-one is going along tomorrow then we will give it a miss too....maybe next week we will meet up???:)

Hope you are feeling better Courtney. I have had lot of green phlem lately. Plus i have something wrong in my mouth that is affecting my gland and ear.
I know its a big short notice, but I am having a birthday/mothers group on Wednesday for Briley's 2'nd birthday. I have invited quite a few other mums and mums-to-be's so it should be a good turn out.
If any of you are interested in coming, please PM me for the details. Its going to be great for the kids.

Am still sick but getting better slowly. Cooper has been a real trooper as I scared the nappy off of him with some fairly noisy vomiting. He has been really clingy and continuously asks if I'm ok or alright. it is so cute.
Unfortunately Cooper and I can't make Briley's party but have fun!!

sara - sorry we couldnt make it today..our car was getting serviced. I wont have a car tomorrow so Im going to be housebound. Zander had his first day at daycare on tuesday he will be going every tuesday...he did really well..so hopefully second time will be just as good. Maybe we will all meet up again soon?????? maybe next week????:dunno:
Don't know if anything was planned for today but Cooper and I can't come. I am still sick and have lovingly given it to DH who is as sick as a dog. Maybe next week.

hi, I would of loved to come along to lollipops tomorrow but our car has to go into Holden to be fixed.....we have had to wait a week for a part to be sent up from melbourne and it finally arrived!!! We are lucky that the workshop is just down the road so I can drop the car off and walk home with the boys....If its ready (the car)...how about friday for meeting up at lollipops????????:dunno:

Its not that I am not interested in catching up but I did post on here that I have been unwell, I have a disease, it knocks me around for sometimes months. It's not something that goes away like a flu. I am on about 12 tablets a day that knock me out and around so I am not on the pc as much.
Not only have I relapsed but I have some major family issues going on aswell.
Once Im up and at it again Ill be raring to go. Hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely winter weather we are having!

Zander has had a bit of a cold and didnt go to daycare today he is going on friday instead..Im taking Wyatt to the doctors at 9am on thurs we should be out by 10am, as he has an eczema rash thing and we dont know what it is..he is also still not sleeping for more than 3 hours at a time, we are going to a paediatrician on the 1st July to hopefuly get some answers......Ive been without sleep for nearly 6mnths and almost used to being in a permanent daze!!!!! :asleep:

We usually meet up on a Thursday at Lollipops (at the Domain Centre) at 10am. I will be going this week.
It's great as the play area is enclosed and they can go nuts.

We are going ok. The girls and I are trying to get over a lingering cough and cold. Other than that we are well.
I have pulled the girls out of kindy now. They just were'nt happy there and were always getting sick. Plus it was losing organisation and i did'nt know who was who there anymore. I am now on the look out for a Family Day Care mum for the girls for 2 days a week again. I'd prefer to have the consistancy of 1 woman rather that a few.
So after this week (I have uni exams) I am keen to come along to a meet. A park or playground would be nice. Although if majority rules, I am happy to come to Lollipops or wherever.
I will keep an eye out for what is decided.

Things have gone from bad to worse for us at the mo...I broke my toe on thursday afternoon and then this arvo Wyatt had an allergic reaction to some food I was trying him on, so we spent the evening at the hospital...I wont be able to make it this thursday and next week Im going to Adelaide with Wyatt for my sisters wedding. So hopefully I will see you all in a couple of weeks...and we will all be happier :D

To the new ladies, we usually meet at Lollipops at 10am on Thursday but I am happy to meet elsewhere. Another option is the enclosed kids playground next to the Waterpark on The Strand. Just bring some morning tea for the kids and let them rip.
We have only been meeting reasonably regularly for a couple of months so school holidays has never come up. Only Emma has kids that are school aged and she has been unwell lately so unable to make it. I am happy to keep it going as a weekly thing regardless of school holidays etc.
Hey girls, we're heading to Townsville next month for the weekend. Wondering if we can organise a meet up while I'm there? :D
I'll be staying with some friends, and she has a 14 month old who would probably like to come too (a good chance for her to meet some new mums too as she doesn't know anyone in Townsville).
We'll be arriving sometime on the 18th, and leaving 20th July.
Argh Jodi cant you put off your trip to Townsville til I get there at the end of July :P
We are Townsvillians as of July 25th, am looking forward to meeting everyone :)
