I felt a bit isolated in my son's playgroup as we started going later in the year and the other mums knew each other well. I did eventually make a couple of friends but it took a while. I would say that if you've given it a red hot go and the other mums are not welcoming/responding, go the the group that's welcoming hun. Even if it's out of the way a bit.
