I must be hopeless because I try that same technique but when I remove my hand it instantly starts bunching in the middle, because on the small setting there's so much extra "material" on the pocket itself.

I wish it would clip in or something. Maybe once I have an actual baby and the nappy is on the actual baby's actual butt it will stay in place. I'm just keen to learn and be prepared. Want as few surprises as possible when the time comes.
