    How many would I need???

Okay well I am thinking about starting to use pocket nappies for Lucy, I hate seeing what the sposies do to her poor little legs and I feel they must get uncomfy for my poor little baby girl, and the pocket nappies look so comfy and so soft.

my question is how many would I have to get in order to have her in them full time??

How often do you wash and how long do they take to dry,

I am really new at all this and I suppose really just looking for advice on all things to do with pocket nappies,

so anything you can tell me would be great.

and what ones do you use/like,

and cost etc as I said I am so new to this LOL I know nothing hehe

    TIA

    Amy

Hi AMy, I use pocket nappies! I have a couple different types.. Peapods , pocket change and swaddlebees. The Peapods were about $17 each, including an insert. Not sure on the cost of the others as they were given to me! I would suggest getting more inserts (the absorbant bit) than nappies, as the inserts take much longer to dry. You can buy the inserts seperately. The actual nappy part is very quick to dry, as its just polarfleece. I find mine dry in about half an hour to an hour, out on the line on a nice sunny day. On a crappy day they take longer. I prefer to dry them in the sun than in the drier.
I only have about 8 and thats not enough for full time. I do a load of washing for them every 2 days. I dont use them overnight. I just still use sposies at night time.

I use bumgenius as I find them super absorbent, and I can interchange them betweent the girls. They cost $28 each, incl the inserts. When it was just Em, I had 15 and that was plenty for full time (minus nights) use. HTH

I started off with 5 pockets and 12 flat square and washed everyday and she was in sposies at night. we are now in full time cloth I have 3 Bumgenius, 3 baby Kangas, 3 Happy heiny 2 Swaddlebees plus some fitted and AIO. I wash every 2-4days and second what Katrina said it is always handy to have extra inserts as they dry a lot quicker than other nappies.

I use MCNs day and night F/T and wash every 2-3 days. We have about two dozen mixed pockets and AIOs (you need enough to get you through 2 days at least and then some more to use while you're washing the others).
