Leaky Mommy's Touch

Hi,

Hoping someone out there uses Mommy's Touch and can explain how I should be doing them up for my 2 month old? Every time I use them I get leakage out through the leg, so I have stopped bothering with them and am using terry flats for the moment. I spent heaps on getting 12 of these nappies and would like to use them asap! DH reverts to using disposables as he can't (be bothered) folding the flats.

I have checked out the Mommy's Touch website and it shows how to snap up for a small baby, but there just don't seem to be enough snaps for my liking on the middle row?

Maybe I will just have to leave them until she gets bigger?

just looked at the website ... i dont know how to help you ... cept wash em a few more times and pop them in the dryer for a bit .. this should help increase absorbancy and catch the leaks .. or boost it with a face washer to fill in the gaps if there are any .. or you could wait till shes bigger ....

What are you using as a booster?

I use a hemp booster, but I think it's more about gaping in the legs (and DD does have chubby legs, so I can't imagine how they'd go for a little newborn).

Is it possible that they are wicking a little as well? I dont really know a great deal about these nappies though- but I have heard good things about the Happy Heinys one size nappy and they seem to be a similar idea. I know a lot of people have problems with MCN with newborns for this reason. Most people seem to find flats the most effective while they are newborns at least until they are over the 4-5kg mark. I can understand your frustration with your DH using the disposables.... no suggestions bar it wont be long until your bubba fits into them well.
