I think they also do a quick sight and hearing test, it's a little more in depth than a regular check up

DDs four year old check was basically a check that she'd seen the gp in the past few months and had been weighed/height recorded, asked if we had eye or ear concerns (she was already under care of optimetrist) and asking her a couple of questions to check her speech and comprehension. If we were there more than five minutes I would be surprised. The wait after the jab was harder than any of it cos the little girl before dd was very upset and dd kept asking why she was crying if she got given a lollipop, why wasn't she happy etc.

We had ours as the MCHN check up so vaccination was done by council completely separately. The check probably did take about half an hour. There was an eye check (basic one that they would then refer you to the optometrist) - got her to do some tasks (with bricks), asked her lots of questions (checking speech and comprehension) plus the height and weight check. Asked me a load of things and checked we knew what we were doing regarding kinder etc.

Ours was done by the MCHN & they did the exact same things as Wysiwyg said. Took about 30mins
