I use ear putty instead of ear plugs on DD1 and she wears a swimming cap too over the top. I did buy a band that is made of wetsuit material to go over her ears but she has a head like me and headbands just slide off.

We have actually found Blue tak to be the most effective (but didnt go down the path of getting professionally made ones) did have some kiddie earplugs we bought from target, but she did tend to play with them a bit. The blue tak was better
